During your career at Altria, you’ll get the opportunity to utilize and develop your skills by rotating across our Finance & Accounting departments based on your own individual development with your manager and mentors. In this role you will: • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger closing processes, including analyzing and reporting on financial results, journal entries and account reconciliations • Prepare internal financial documents for one or many of our various operating and service companies to be consolidated by our SEC Reporting team • Assist junior staff with their responsibilities to gain leadership skills • Lead partnerships with members of other organizations and the business in interpreting and providing solutions to technical accounting and business issues • Support our SEC Reporting team in preparing required SEC filings by compiling support for and/or preparing financial statement variance analyses and footnote disclosures • Coordinate with our internal and external auditors, external specialists and other key external contacts on requests and accounting matters We want you to have: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, required • 3+ years of work experience in Public Accounting, Corporate Accounting or Reporting, Corporate Audit or Financial Planning & Analysis • Professional designation (CPA, CIA, CFA) or master’s degree, a plus • Knowledge of accounting & reporting standards (US GAAP and SEC) Desired skills and abilities: • Ability to demonstrate value to the business and other Finance organizations by providing accounting expertise to develop and make recommendations that produce results • Flexible and eager to work on different assignments throughout the department as needed • Capable of working independently and as part of a team, comprised of diverse backgrounds across the entire Altria organization • Challenges the status quo and brings forward new insights and manages process innovation and simplification • Uses effective, concise verbal and written communication to present to appropriate audiences and works to improve influencing skills • Displays sophisticated problem-solving skills and presents recommendations to management • Interest in rotating throughout Finance & Accounting to build financial acumen and business knowledge In addition to the opportunity to apply and develop your skills toward key business objectives, we offer an excellent compensation package including a competitive base salary, comprehensive health/vision/dental insurance, participation in our deferred profit sharing and incentive compensation programs as well as a relocation assistance package. If so, then we are looking for you! Altria Client Services’ role is to provide high quality services to the Altria family of companies. We are currently seeking a highly qualified Associate Manager Purchasing to join our Procurement department in Richmond, VA. We are open to remote working arrangements. Specific accountabilities include: • Managing and accessing global supply chains supporting PM USA’s ALCS core Tobacco portfolio. • Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to provide superior service and quality. • Supporting qualification of materials and suppliers for business contingency plans. • Consulting with internal clients and colleagues to understand supply chain needs and develop plans to meet them. • Monitoring supply chain performance of critical inputs, and proactively identify issues and trends that require action. • Effectively synthesizing and communicating information to address a broad range of questions related to supply chain management, supplier performance, and contracts. • Being a strategic thinking partner by integrating supply chain insights and business requirements to inform sourcing decisions. • Effectively leading cross-functional teams to investigate major strategic and business initiatives, including: cost management/productivity, quality and supply security and drive actionable results and business decisions. • Open to domestic and international travel up to 10% when needed. Specific Qualifications include: • Bachelor's Degree required. Graduate degree is preferred. • 6+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, management consulting or related experience preferred. • Applied supply chain experience in commodities, and wide awareness of “best in class” and new methodologies and approaches relevant to supply chain management. • Advanced problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills, and the confidence to try new solutions driven by curiosity. • Ability to generate actionable insights into business recommendations. • Proficient with structuring and negotiating contracts. • Strong sourcing strategies to include onboarding new suppliers, as well as supplier management responsibilities. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent interpersonal skills and the capability to build positive working relationships with colleagues, clients and key stakeholders. • Leadership presence and ability to interact across multiple organization levels. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven, fast paced environment. • High level proficiency with SAP and MS Office applications.
