There is a lot of pressure in the banking centers to meet certain goals that are sometimes arbitrary. The company culture is certainly more positive and relaxed behind the scenes. Management can vary by location, but I've had nothing but the best experience with my direct management in operations. If you're new to banking, it's a good place to start to gain experience. Once you've got a solid footing, try to find a position better suited for you in the company (there's usually plenty of opportunity and Meritocracy is valued). While the expectations are high, there is always the opportunity to meet the assigned tasks. The hours are flexible (within reason) to help you easily balance the workplace and still maintain a quality home life. The opportunity for advancement is always available. Once they re grouped everyone the new group manager didn’t listen to issues, she would interrupt you, they did not care about the “smaller people” only the higher ups and only the customers with a lot of money. The more this bank grows the more people are just a number to them. HR doesn’t listen when you voice concerns, they show a lot of favoritism. They promote people to branch managers who don’t know anything and are just lazy and try putting things off onto their assistant manager. If you want to work for a company where you have no voice and will never be heard, this is the company for you. But if you want to be somewhere that you are respected and appreciated, I highly recommend you go somewhere else. Oh and did I mention all staff is underpaid. The management with this company is horrendous and the HR is ever worse. They are always looking for ways to either write someone up or even terminate them. This being so is the reason the banking locations are always understaffed. As I stated previously, they’re an okay bank to start but if you could aim higher definitely do so!
