Management will be very loud if you are taking too long on calls, how many calls are holding, and you will constantly get internal messages about the same thing that they are loud about. Tons of free food- donuts, fruit/veggies catered Friday Lunch, birthday month end treats, lots of stocked items for free in breakroom Cons- has no ongoing training for sales people to better themselves and their knowledge in the industry. Sales Managers do whatever they must to have their people hit the monthly goals on SHIPPING out product for new customer orders, cutting pricing deals and rushing the order when it may not be the best solution. Then the sales rep gets dinged on the returns! They frown on promoting from within the company. If you didnt meet the quotas or go to the meetings, you were then talked down to and forced to partner up where you would not get full commission if you indeed made a sale. They also think it's ok to lie to people about what their income potential is. Make sure you ask to see how the entire sales team is doing and how that translates to your paycheck. The average sales rep sells about 20% of the quota that they tell you all reps are hitting every month. Even if you do hit your quota half of them won't get set up or will term so you end up below quota even if you hit it. The place is a sham. They can't keep people because although the commission is good, they pay the same to everyone around the state when the Bay Area needs at least a 20 percent increase.
