Sometimes you may get back to back calls. Other times you may have time to work on other projects between calls. It all depends on your queue. On average you'll need to take at the very least 12 to 15 calls a day. For learning opportunities it's also dependent on what you want to know. For me personally I want to grab as much knowledge as I can. You will also have an opportunity to even get free certifications for their products too. Management is pretty chill. They will provide feedback for you and give advise on how to improve if they see you struggling. They also want you to be promoted or even find something within the company that further interests you. They don't want you to feel stuck. Culture is about as much as you can do without having face to face contact. Sure you'll have those people that you talk to on the daily, and you make the most out of it whenever you can. Hardest part of my job is the repetitive nature. It's the same problems coming in over and over and at times in rapid sessions. Also, since we have different "buckets" for different solutions but ONE queue -- you'll often times be forced to take a call from another bucket. A spillage if you will. It feels like you're doing someone else's job. Especially when you check the queue and all the previous bucket members are all MIA at lunch, meetings, or breaks. They don't take in the regard of the other people. Like I get it you gotta take a break, but can they at least make sure there are people that can adequately cover for their part of the queue? The best part of the job is the benefits. They are pretty good at providing paid time off for their people. They also provide you paid time to work on your professional development. That development is for you to become certified (in my case) with a certification for their products and services. With those certs you can take those ANYWHERE and they just give the classes for free to their employees. Labs are also free, or they tell you where you can get them for free. They let you do this for 20 hours and after that the rest is on your time. Free certs, good amount of time off that's paid, laid back environment Phone queue needs work, pay scale, and repetitiveness. A lot of slow points but company would pay you for part of the day even when it was so slow they would need to send you home. The work was tiring but I worked in the warehouse portion of the building. I really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and the people here.
