But there are few things to know of this company for various prospective new employees' benefits. 1. Constant turnover. Due to lack of competitive salary and bad culture (toxic), there are constant turnovers. Not only from lower level employees, but even VPs levels and above. Every year, there are constant turnovers from all level 2. Management doesn't care about employees. Challenging problems and a lot to do in the organization, its growing in both B2C and B2B products and offerings. Interesting new ideas being worked on. Leadership has a bit of lethargy but they are slowly turning the corner now. Their insurance, dental, and other medical options are solid when compared to other similar sized employers. They made changes to their 401k vesting period that made it much better. + Salary. I was paid less than the going rate for a person in my position/experience at a similar company. This seems to be across the board as well. + Salary bands. These are becoming more common at large companies. + Career path. They have no set career path or review structure. They ask you to input where you want to go and they "say" they will figure out how to make that work but nothing ever comes of it. Reviews are basically meaningless since there's no rubric, north star, or vision of what's next for you in your career. + Acquisitions. Over the past few years, Q has acquired a number of companies. This can be a good thing, but it's not from an integration standpoint. Q literally has no clue how to onboard a purchased company. There's a reason most people leave after their earnout. + Long term roadmap. Upper management does a terrible job of articulating the north star. They constantly paint one picture but when you attempt to push things in that direction they don't want you to do so. Steven talks about the FSI going away so often you'd think it were responsible for 99% of the companies revenue. + Entitlement. While the California office is well known for being entitled, there are employees that are as well. Q is a sales lead company and sales makes far too many calls on how the business should be driven. + Firing. They refuse to fire upper management that fails. They re-position them into a new role because of their "tribal" knowledge. Healthcare options, dental, vision, 401k (match is average), and a few other perks that make it unique like pet insurance, and LinkedIn Learning memberships. - Freedom to work remote from just about anywhere as long as you get approval from your manager. - Company culture is either highly toxic or nonexistent depending on the office that you work in. This comes after they spent a ton of money on a 3rd party company to analyze their culture and give suggestions. - Rumors of an unwritten 3 strike rule in one of the offices where if you mess up 3 times, you get fired (this caused constant blaming of other teams) - Another rumor that senior leadership had a meeting discussing the poor Glassdoor rating and one of the things to come out of that was false Glassdoor reviews to bump up the rating. - Constantly people are leaving and joining. Your team most likely wont be the same month to month. - Salary is way below average for pretty much every position. They also do not do mid-year raises or promotions because "it's not HR policy". - Constant org restructures due to new acquisitions and indecisiveness from upper management. - At the time of this writing, they are under investigation/being sued for securities fraud (see Yahoo finance for article). - Broken HR/Payroll policies that resulted in them overpaying and underpaying me on 50% of every paycheck when I was hourly. - California offices constantly complaining about the free food that they get, even though the other offices don't get anything for free - Was given a laptop that was clearly old and underpowered, which constantly froze up. A lot of time I wasn't able to get my work done because programs would crash. I ended up using my personal computer to get most of my work done. - Security programs installed on laptops are useless and take up way too much CPU and memory. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 8.0 1.0 3.0 1.0 2.0 4.0 1.0 1098789 Open Stop purposefully focusing on areas that you clearly aren't ready for. You are trying to focus on diversity and inclusion (not a bad thing), but when your culture and compensation are as bad as they are, you wont be able to keep diverse and inclusive candidates. There is so much more that is wrong with this company that I'm not allowed to list in the cons because it's confidential. Regular layoffs of groups/teams, including people who have recently relocated for that role, new roles that were created, and even people on maternity/paternity leave. No one is safe, no matter how good they are at their job.
