Co-workers liked to stir the pot and aren't really a benefit towards the company; no one wanted to make calls, couldn't balance consistently, made small mistakes constantly and would gossip incessantly. Plenty of trainings and sites you can brush up on your skills. Pay can be unfair if you are a current employee, Regions needs to do better at offering competitive pay to those who have been employed longer than incoming employees. Work culture, depends on where you work. If you’re supposed to get off at a certain time, just a heads up, you’re almost never going to get to leave when you’re supposed to. Very sales driven. Customers act like everything’s the teller’s fault. They’re literally always short staffed so expect to do the work of two people. The pay is decent and the benefits are awesome which is the only thing keeping me there. Towards the end the focus for tellers was on outbound calls, financial assessments, refer a friend, and digital banking, as well as being the only teller to take care of drive thru and lobby customers. The concern for the customers that want to traditionally bank completely changed and there was no longer a concern about wait times. They also came up with the ridiculous idea of bouncing staff around all day... from the cashline to the desk and all the while cutting back staff so that it was impossible to adhere to the new models. They also have high expectations for PE but have a stupid program called Rosie that make it almost impossible to get referrals on the teller line.
