Firm invested in people and career flexibility. Some morale issues with the restructuring and layoffs which had lead to a lot of delegation of duties to others and tipping the scales of work life balance. But overall it’s been a great firm to grow at in my career. Heavily focused on internal mobility.

I had a great team who had their quirks like any other team but after the Credit Suisse acquisition, layoffs ran rampant and a significantly high percentage of people I knew were let go.

Worked there from 2006 to 2011. Environment was rather sterile. Benefits were great. At the time it seemed bad behavior in senior management was rewarded.

Ok as an interim step but move asap

Many lifers here but don’t mistake that as a sign of great place to work rather these people are basically unemployable elsewhere. Mediocre management and skill set. Don’t need to do to much to really stand out but in the kingdom of blind, one eyed man is king. Don’t get caught out - ok as an interim step but leave as soon as you can as you quickly lose your A-game as surrounded by mediocrity. Always being the smartest person in the room has serious downsides in the long run.

Difficult to get promoted and expectation to compete with old folks having good domain knowledge.
Bias from Chennai management.
Selective targeting depending on your raport with management.
