I worked for Wells Fargo almost 3 years and I was so happy the day I was able to resign. The manager for our district was very toxic and irrational. These people never acknowledge the good you have done, it's always what you didn't do. Setting unfeasible goals and expectations when the pay isn't even worth it. You are constantly looked over for promotions even when you have mastered your role. Unfortunately, this was my experience with Wells Fraudgo. I enjoyed it mostly because of the coworkers I had. That all changed right after Covid. There was a lot of changes for the branch banking roles. Tellers learned banker transactions and vice versa, with no additional compensation. Incentive pay for customer surveys was completely removed for tellers (who are pretty much the face of the branch). When layoffs occurred, one teller was in the lobby and one teller in the drive up. Each teller was expected to run their side pretty much all day. There was only really coverage during lunches and if there wasn’t, then one teller had to go back and forth between the two areas. Management is always there to help and the team is always in synergy to complete the job. Only complaint is the pay, which is low for a bank. Hourly is a bit low, commissions and bonuses are almost non existent when compared to other banks.
