What is the best part of working at the company?
I worked nights stocking. Worked with a good group. We worked well together and got the job done each night
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There was no stress. Truck came, we unloaded it as a team. Broke it down together and got it up on shelves quickly and efficiently
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Teamwork. No pressure. We did what was expected so mgt didn’t have to bother with us We worked unsupervised because they knew we would work
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Arrived at 9. Unloaded and broke down grocery truck onto u-boats. When store closed at 10, we got u-boats to the aisles and worked them to shelves. Aisle to aisle till we were done. Break down cardboard, place in compactor. Face and block shelves. Go home

All work and no pay
|
People are paid poorly and pushed to do a lot. As a result you will not find many happy people working there. Good people pushed down too hard, undervalued and underappreciated.
Highly stressful due to lack of employees so you are required to do more than possible. Lowest pay in the region so it is very difficult for the company to fill positions so plan on that not changing anytime soon.

Low level managers trying hard, Good place to work if you are trying to keep your welfare benefits, Better place if currently in a device settlement.

Small-town grocery store expectations
|
While my experience was only of 6 months when I was a teenager, it seemed to have a poor work environment. Working as a female in a majority male department, I often heard crude comments and stories. Asking for any time off would almost guarantee an annoyed look from management- and many times, my requests were not accepted. Everything from the expectations, management, and training was what you'd expect of a slow small-town store where people don't care a whole lot.

Good for high school not a career
|
I can't recommend this to anyone except kids in high school looking for a part time job. The pay is lower than the other grocery stores in the area. Upper management is very hard to please. Store managers are switched every couple years so you can have a really nice one for a bit then get a horrible one the next day. The employee benefits are really bad.
