There’s a lack of training when it comes to this role. They teach you about the system for 2 days but it doesn’t cover a majority of anything you’ll be doing. Their operations are archaic and the margin for error is high when you receive a volume of checks and you need to enter each check manually.

Great hours and really secure. The BSA officer was great. I learned a lot from her. Small team, so you get to wear a lot of hats and learn a little about everything. Great work/life balance.

Human Resources is incompetent. If you decide to work here double, no TRIPLE check your pay stubs to ensure all of the applicable taxes are being withdrawn from your paycheck. Or else you’ll end up with an annoying tax bill. I foolishly trusted the person at this bank who does this every day for a living, silly me. This person manually enters employee information, makes a TERRIBLE mistake, and she doesn’t even apologize! Humans make mistakes, but to not even show remorse for it? Really? I got the heck out of there simply because of that. Only stayed a year. I refused to give her a second opportunity to mess with my money or get me in more trouble with the IRS. I was told everything was fixed, but I literally would have had to wait until the next tax year to verify that. Absolutely not.

Either hire a new HR/payroll person or hire an auditor for that department. The current HR lady needs her work audited DAILY. Management should survey the company to see how many others have had payroll issues because of her. I know for a fact there were others.

This company does not pay fair wages compared to other banks. Whatever negative things management tells HR, HR takes Managements word as golden. HR does not bother getting your side of the story. Don't bother complaining to HR, because there's only one person in HR.
