Micromanagement to a heart attack

Interview process is long.
Pay is decent until everyone quits & you have to work a ton of extra hours.
Corp/HR does not help you, it just cause you more stress because they know you called.
So then retaliation begins & your emailing your daily plan, weekly plan & monthly plan. Followed by a biweekly meeting on your 30 day plan.
Culture is horrible & new employees can't take the stress so they quit.
The most enjoyable part of my day is when I leave for the day but, then get calls, texts, GroupMe messages & emails. Vacation is the same.

My blood pressure is now under control by taking 2 pills a day.

Work environment didn’t fit me, didn’t like you taking time off, was told that I was going to receive a pay raise only to find out I wasn’t. Co-workers felt like they ran everything.

Bad pay, poor management.

Just don’t do it. There are so many other companies out there who will pay you more than 12 an hour and treat you like a person. Other locations may provide a better experience but stay away from the wilmington location.

The counter manager should not be leading and requires much education and a strong mentor that is not afraid to confront the habits and culture that have become the norm and toxic. To allow someone to lead because of high numbers, but never ever make them accountable is the reason that turnover there is something terrible. One will feel like they are in the line of fire always and that you have just stepped into a scene of Boyz in the Hood.
