A mobile education service for Activity Professionals and care partners serving elders. Services,based on the Holistic Model of Care, are client centered, designed and delivered to energize the care giving exchange through the power of activities. Driven by passion for the vital work Activity Practitioners deliver and believes that strength and vision are fueled by education, networking and contributing to the profession. Seeking to inspire others who need a burst of energy to reaffirm their commitment to care giving and coach them to multiply their gifts.
Services include:
-Design & deliver NCCAP approved continuing education workshops
-Family care strengthening, training sessions
-Individualized activity approaches for home care
-conference speaker
-Consultant services to evaluate, design or re-design activity programs
-Staff in services to enhance Activity Services or train non-recreation staff how to use activities on the spot
-Specialize in gero psych
-Instructor for the MEPAP- classes ongoing throughout the tri-county area
NCCAP certified instructors for the Modular Education Program for Activity Professionals (MEPAP) to adult learners currently working in long term living arenas. Course builds on the provision of clinical activity services to managing aggregate activity department services as a supervisor. Course design includes 180 hours of classroom instruction while completing a concurrent 180 hour supervised practicum, which is required for the National Certification Council of Activity Professionals (NCCAP) certification. The course is built on the precepts of communication, advocacy and leadership.
