In third grade, the movies started to actually be planned and scripted; by 8th grade, computer editing became part of the process. In 2005, the crew consisted of 4 regulars and 6 or 7 extras - a bunch of 8th graders who took turns with the camera, made up storylines as they filmed, and then showed the films to class for fun. In 2006, the crew made a film for science class about a character named Jeremy Kilts. This name soon became a reoccuring element of the productions, and the team adopted it as their pseudonym. The name became official when they signed up with YouTube and used it for their group name. It's a Kilt of a channel. JKilts' first feature-length film came out in 2008, when the director set out to film his high-school graduation project, entitled Screaming Eagles. This movie got heavy attention from local media and was shown on the big screen to an audience of several hundred. A year later, the crew set out to film a remake Screaming Eagles, which is still currently in production. In 2010, the crew decided to clean up the forest where we've shot lots of our other projects. The woods have been destroyed by vandals and partiers, and our crew decided to give back. Our new projects include a Titanic project, volunteer films for Washington Crossing Historic Park, the Wildwood Beach Patrol and Coast Guard, and the Northampton Township.
