Great company/room for improvement
Benefits, pay, team members, company is open to change and growth, good culture.
Insane work load, no relief or life line. If you’re sinking, they will let you drown. It’s up to you to save yourself. And customers suffer because of this.

Reduce manager duties so they have time to coach and mentor their team and set them up for success.
Stop looking at the numbers to evaluate how well your teams are doing… they’re skewed. Track the amount of hours your employees are putting in to cover the amount of claims they’re given. There’s a huge disconnect and you’re loosing valuable employees and customer satisfaction suffers because of it (claim volume).
Mondays and coming back after a holiday are punishments to the adjusters. Maybe try a rotating schedule to reduce the influx of claims on those days.

Decent starting hourly pay rate

Random overtime added last minute. Horrible micromanaging. Management is terrible. Most can’t even take the calls that come in

The organization is filled with great people
and offers a reasonable amount of flexibility.
Recent changes have limited the ability for talent to grow and remain with the organization. Change is never ending here which results in a rather unstable and chaotic environment.

Used to Be Great Before AFICS
Mostly wonderful people at a team and individual level. Generally fair compensation and benefits.
Consistent lack of direction, knowledge, and understanding of organizational processes from senior leadership, evidenced by near annual business group restructures over the past six years. No longer a workplace where you can feel job security, regardless of your individual performance.

Start paying attention to the people who are leaving. Actually offer the past employees exit interviews. Start caring about your employees again. Quit hiring re-tread management who were fired from other companies. They are killing your once proud team. I loved MSA. You've lost your culture!

Progressively Worse
45 minute lunch break
Remote
This company has gotten progressively worse. All changes made have no benefit to anyone, not employees nor customers. All it has done is cause frustration and resentment with both. Agents have no training and call claims for questions they should be able to answer. What used to be a simple process in reissuing payments, is now a complicated mess and they want you to write a paragraph of information that’s already in the claim. All audits are supposedly based on the same list of criteria, but really it’s based on who’s doing the audit that day and how they want to interpret said criteria. You are at the whim and mercy of work force management, so if you want to take a course or prefer to have lunch in a certain time frame, if it doesn’t meet company needs, forget about it. Nevermind other people can have meetings when it’s “busy” but if you’re not one of the chosen few, you must take calls until they say stop. First line management is passive, full of corporate positivity. Don’t bother complaining or pointing out anything that is unfair, they refuse to acknowledge the negative. They use software to make sure you’re doing and saying what they want, if you phrase anything in a different way, said software will not detect it and you get no credit for having done your job. They will only partially train you, then force you to answer calls and assist with areas you have zero training in. Then, inevitably, when an adjuster complains, they will give you coaching notes, not caring that they never trained you to handle the call in the first place. Way too much emphasis on customer surveys, if they customer is complaining about and adjuster or an agent, or even if you didn’t speak with a customer, it doesn’t matter, you’re stuck with a negative survey and your manager will not vouch for you in those situations. There’s only 4 people left from my training class. Even the trainers left this company. That should tell you everything you need to know.

I already said a lot above and there’s a million more things I can add. It doesn’t matter, you’re going to do what you want and I’m pretty sure my job will be going to someone India in the next 2 years anyway.
