ArcusStone manufactures limestone plasters and coatings which are fast becoming the industry standard for replicating quarried limestone. They are integrally colored using mineral oxide pigments, which assure a high resistance to UV light degradation and fading, and can be applied to a variety of interior or exterior substrates including Portland cement plaster (stucco), gypsum board, poured-in-place concrete, CMU blocks, brick masonry, cement backer boards, lightweight concrete, ceramic or natural stone tile, and EPS foam.
The materials are non-hazardous, non-combustible, and have a much higher resistance to impact than many alternative finishes or claddings. At three pounds per s.f. at a 3/8” application, ArcusStonecoat is 36% lighter than concrete and 30% lighter than granite, thereby requiring far less structural reinforcement (and the associated resources) than either material.
The limestone crush utilized by ArcusStone is considered a by-product, and therefore qualifies for green building credits under the LEEDS program.
