The role will report into the Direct or Product Development.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Create and maintain materials library and seasonal materials masters.</li> <li>Partner with design and merchandising to source seasonal materials.</li> <li>Partner with mills and suppliers on all fabric development.</li> <li>Track all fabric developments and strong follow up on materials for sampling- availability, MOQ, cost and testing.</li> <li>Proactively manage sample yardage ready dates for all categories and troubleshoot where necessary.</li> <li>Work with PD to stage proto and sample yardage.</li> <li>Review mill testing, action third party testing and ensure all materials meet Best Made quality standards. Ensure all Test Reports are filed in proper shared drive.</li> <li>Communicate material related status updates and material issues/resolutions at weekly meetings with design.</li> <li>Own lapdip process – launch, review and approve lab dips at both sample and bulk stage.</li> <li>Own print process – launch, review and approve all strike-offs at both sample and bulk stage.</li> <li>Review FDS on all adopted fabrics, ensuring content, and construction details identified meet cost parameter guidelines.
