They have union positions and good health insurance. A lot of the people who make up central operations are fun, smart, and talented.
|
There are too many cons to count: management will pull a bait-and-switch during hiring when it comes to what schedule you work, you could get hired onto a morning shift and then just moved to overnight while being told to figure it out yourself, there is no clear direction from management, leadership is very cliquey, they have extensive editorial guidelines they make you learn but then don't adhere to, they put a $30,000 bounty out on an innocent homeless man, the CEO is completely out of touch with the company, they have done 4 rounds of layoffs in a year's span, they've eliminated entire positions just because employees got promoted & made too much money, management clearly dislikes the union the workers established and constantly tries to disregard their established contract.

Do your due diligence before working here. Read about the CEO's coked-up manhunt for an innocent homeless person. Read about how an employee was sent into the Jan. 6 riot. Read the litany of Glassdoor reviews detailing layoffs, toxic management, and horrific work-life balance. Do not make the mistake I did and think that things will improve over time -- they will not. The current strategy of filling the app with AI-generated copy and hooking users into free premium trials will not save this product. Our entire operations team unionized and it barely made a blip in improving the company culture. I promise that your soul is not worth the convenience of working from home.

Huge crowd of crying pro-union children that have never had real responsibility or worked a tough job. They’re smart, but they use it to whine and manipulate the system to get what they want. Management has their hands tied.

I work at this company, and I want to share my experience. The CEO isn't really good. He's either not there or hiding with his camera off during Zoom meetings. He gets mean to people who don't agree with him. He's not a good leader. The company is unfair, only white guys who are nice to the CEO get promotions. Other people don't have a chance. Girls are treated differently than boys, which is not cool. The CEO spends way too much money on his favorite projects, which make no sense (hardware devices? Private security?). The company's money is disappearing really fast. The CEO can't decide what he wants for the product. He changes his mind all the time, making it hard to work. The product isn't doing well because the team doesn't have enough discipline. The numbers are going down, and it's not good. The company's board doesn't care that the CEO wants the app to be for vigilantes. That's risky and could hurt people, but they don't seem to mind. Overall, working at this company isn't great, and the CEO is a big part of the problem.
