You felt like part of a team. When the team has team players and not team pickers.

Promises of raises when job performance was exceptional and never got the raise.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Stressing and fast paced. Not thoroughly detailed with their detailing work. I’m cleanly when it comes to my cleaning and the other employees didn’t care how clean the vehicles were
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Constantly moving and going in behind other peoples work . I didn’t want my job to look bad therefore I had to do what other employees failed to do.

Management is profisient at what they what they do. Job description is driving cars around the lot and putting them in numbered (designated) parking spots in the lot, getting them ready for sale Culture is a friendly one. Trying not to hit other parked cars is the hardest part. Driving different kind of cars is most enjoyable.

Cox at its core is a company that buys other companies. Cox Automotive buys companies in the auto sector and is very vertically integrated. They have decided for some reason to try and run these companies without ever learning anything about them. They are in the process of destroying about 6 great brands. It really doesn’t have to be this way

Job duties constantly change, but your compensation never does
|
This company started out good for me, however as the years went it progressively got worse and worse.
For the Manheim express team, the pay was cut way down from when the position first started. I applied and interviewed for a Concierge position in Columbus Ohio back in 2019, coming from the inside, the salary was 60k+ bonuses, I now know that if you came from outside of Cox, your salary started at 50K + bonuses. That salary now starts anywhere from I believe 40K-45K base salary now with more job duties than the higher paying salary.
You are expected to manage an inspector, fill their days up, and ensure that they are doing good work even though there is an inspection supervisor that's job is to supervise the inspectors. If you have a good one, you are really lucky. If you have a bad one, your work day is stressful since you cannot trust them to do their job and they make you look bad to all your clients.
You will get a measly 3% raise every year, if you are lucky. Your goals will be unachievable, and you will work 30% harder to meet your goals if you have a performing market vs someone who has a lesser market. We were encouraged to work later since the time change and on weekends, in order to hit our goal since the goal was the "bare minimum" of doing our job by our manager.
Upper management is seriously out of touch, and if you bring up issues with the job, management, etc you will be looked as as "The Problem" and in the monthly All Hands meeting for Manheim Express it will be joked about.
There are serious issues with this team, we made Manheim and Cox a lot of money to be treated poorly most of the time.
The perks of the job were the "Unlimited Time Off" which, if you took too much of it you were told that you were basically stealing from the company, even if you really never took any days off because you always had your work phone on you and just did work from it rather than being in the field. The benefits have progressively gotten worse and more expensive since COVID.
I do not recommend this company at all, it seems all sunshine and rainbows until you're stressed out for not hitting a sales goal when you do not control what sells and what doesn't and can't eat or sleep.
I could go on forever with examples, but leadership stinks, the pay sucks, you will be micromanaged to death, you depreciate your vehicle's value, and they expect you to carry a higher level of insurance and do not tell you that upfront. The perks do not outweigh the downsides.

Decent place to work

I worked as an auction driver. We picked up/delivered cars for auction form local dealers. We drove the cars through the auction on sale days. Overall it was a good part-time job for anyone who likes cars and has other sources of income.
