Lower salary than the average
They are proud of the flat hierarchies but in reality you will be managed by a lot of people
If you are friends with the "key" person in the company your career will sky rocket, this is, a CTO, an specific Swe/Fin manager and a few legacy developers
They will justify people not moving forward in their careers, i.e. not having a higher salary with people happy in their current position and voluntarily not engaging a higher challenge
Drupal was, is and will be the main business, forget to work with anything else
You need to constantly watch your back
If you are a female you might have even a lower salary

If you're not a coder or tester - avoid

- very nice and caring colleagues!
- pretty good place to work for tech people, but not for others!

- High micromanagement, especially by CEO himself, which is very well known within the company. It feels like the staff needs to adapt their behavior according to the CEO to make him happy, instead to doing what's best for the company.
- Even though it seems like the staff is included in the decision making, in the reality, every small decision has to go through management, and even then, the CEO needs to make the final call.
- Values are not coming true in real life, bc management is acting sometimes against them.
- The management is so reserved and so afraid about making the wrong decision, so that they are not making any real decisions at all. Hence I don't see this company surviving in the future.
- HR and Marketing are not valued as much the tech people. They are treated unequally, as the support functions, yet this is not the way to go anymore. HR and Marketing are just as valuable as the tech roles. This is already affecting the tech people too, since they see how "support people" are being treated.

- update your leaderships skills.
- a new CEO (with proper people and emotional skills) from outside of the company might save the company, since he could see as an outside what the current management is not seeing.
- your current mission is not engaging for millennials, think about why this company exists.
- let go of the need for power and let go - trust your employees and their ability to make decisions as you say you would in your values. They are better specialist in their area of expertise than you are. Your job is to act the way your talk.
- Don't get mad to people who try to make things better and innovate new ideas. In this way people eventually will stop making effort since there are no psychological safety, which is essential for creating a continuously learning culture. To outshine your competitors you need to be continuously developing. At the moment you are standing still, hence you are actually moving backwards since the competitors in the IT sector are definitely many steps ahead already. (I refer to company culture, leadership, recruitment, employer branding, employee engagement, wellbeing)
- Take a closer look at the HR function, since it is not being managed very effectively. Costs of proper applications are less than the salary costs of the HR Coordinator role, who is atm doing 90% manual work. Applications are not a threat, on the contrary, they will enable the HR moving from an admin role to coaching and change generator role which is should be.
