The First Responder Network Authority, through an innovative public-private partnership, is developing the first nationwide public safety broadband network. FirstNet provides first responders the advanced technologies they need to save lives and keep their communities safe.
FirstNet is a single, interoperable, highly secure wireless broadband communications network for America’s fire, law enforcement, EMS and other public safety personnel. The network will help to solve the communications challenges that public safety personnel have faced in responding to local emergencies, as well as large scale emergencies such as the 9/11 terrorist attacks and Hurricane Katrina.
