There are high turnover rates and low employee morale as there would be new hires who never show up, or employees who are consistently late so other employees end up being overworked as a result. I dealt with a lot of employee burnout while there, and there were no resources to address this. Also there needs to be an easier way for people to get their work schedule as you’d have to go to the store to physically see it as there’s no digital copy. Also my boss tried to keep me working there after I got a full time job basically expecting me to work 48 hours a week - which is not good for anyone’s mental health. Additionally the store I was at didn’t fully honor the break policy as we’d only get one 30 minute break if we work 5 or more hours, and 10 minutes if it’s only 4 hours when it’s supposed to be a 30 minute break and a 15 minute break if it’s 5 or more hours and a 15 minute break for 4 hours. Do better at implementing the break policy as one break and no shorter break for 5 or more hours is what contributes to burnout. The entire store team is working their tail off. There is no priority on the customer as there is no associates to help on salesfloor or assist in the fitting room. Everything that the team has worked so hard on from the cleanliness to the stockroom standards, customer, experience, and KPI’s has shown that this is not good for business. The associates are barely getting any hours and moral is starting to drop. These are associates and leaders that have been around for years.
