Our work spans many policy domains to achieve full equality for LGBTI people, including employment, mental health and well- being, education, legislative and national policy reform, physical and sexual health, policing and safety, and international advocacy. We have been instrumental in delivering change across each of these areas, and we have a range of programmes focussing on delivering our vision of an Ireland where being LGBTI is fully valued and respected. A very significant part of our work was building the environment over many years where we could hold and win the referendum on marriage in 2015. GLEN was one of the three founding organisations of Yes Equality which led the campaign for a yes vote. Our work in GLEN now is more vital than it was before the referendum to ensure that we build an Ireland where LGBTI people are fully included at work; where young LGBTI people are safe, supported and affirmed in their schools; where a same-sex couple can walk safely down the street of any town in Ireland, hand in hand; where LGBTI people have a strong sense of well-being and good mental health; where LGBTI people can form families that will be respected and protected as all others; where we get as near possible to zero new HIV infections; and where we can share the lessons from Ireland’s journey internationally. The referendum has changed the environment in which we can achieve all of this. Our work, along with that of key stakeholders, will ensure that we transform the historic events of 2015 into a permanent and positive impact on the lives of this and future generations of LGBTI people Open Legislative Reform, Education, Workplace Diversity, Mental, Physical and Sexual Health, Human Rights, LGBTI Equality Open 2 Exchange Street Upper, Dublin 8.
