Kickstarter, PBC is seeking an experienced General Counsel to join our team.
About the Team
Kickstarter is a Public Benefit Corporation, and our mission is to help bring creative projects to life. We measure our success as a company by how well we achieve that mission, not by the size of our profits. In our charter, we spell out our mission, our values, and the commitments we have made to pursue them.
About the Role
The General Counsel at Kickstarter is an important leadership role. Our GC is central to our day-to-day operations and is a key partner in committed areas of innovation and leadership for Kickstarter -- from corporate and governance structures to site policy to public policy. As Kickstarter’s approach is unique, so is this role. It’s an opportunity to help push things forward, considering impact both inside and outside of Kickstarter’s walls.
This position will be based in our Greenpoint HQ in Brooklyn, NY and will report to the CEO.

Kickstarter’s Trust and Safety Team is looking for a teammate with strong critical thinking and deduction skills, a knack for gathering information and spotting trends, and the creative initiative to help develop tools that identify and preempt threats to our ecosystem.
About the Team
You'll be joining Kickstarter's Trust and Safety team, a collaborative group of people who are passionate about keeping the ecosystem safe and building trust within the community, which allows creative projects to flourish on our platform. We believe in clearly defined and evolving policies, open channels of communication within the team and across the organization, and the delicate balance required of maintaining both effective and efficient workflows.
About the Role
This position calls for a love of solving puzzles, the communication skills to present complicated information in a way that everyone can understand, and most importantly, the ability to make difficult decisions independently and impartially. This is an entry-level position, and we encourage candidates of all backgrounds to apply.

Nearly 11 years into our mission to help bring creative projects to life, Kickstarter has grown from a tiny crew of early believers to 150+ renowned engineers, designers, community outreach leads, data scientists, and more. We’re looking for a well-rounded HR pro to steward an inspiring, impactful, high-performing, and mindful work experience for our team.
About The Team
As VP of People, you’ll lead all four areas of Kickstarter’s People Team: People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Workplace. The People Team works to recruit, develop, and retain the group of people who bring our mission to life. Outside (and sometimes inside) the office, members of our team sing opera, DJ, sculpt, and perform improv comedy.

Kickstarter is looking for a tabletop games expert to steward this creator community on our platform. You’ll join the Outreach & International Team based in Brooklyn, NY.
About the Team
The Outreach & International team engages with, and advocates for, creators in the global creative communities we serve. Managing a large portfolio of relationships, we inspire creators to use Kickstarter to support their projects. We are a multidisciplinary, action-oriented team who believe deeply in the importance of creative independence.
About the Role
As Tabletop Games Outreach Lead you’ll be responsible for guiding creators through the process of successfully planning, launching, and fulfilling Kickstarter campaigns. On a daily basis, you’ll be communicating with current creators (those with live projects or projects about to launch); with members of our Outreach team and other internal stakeholders who help steward creators toward success; and with potential creators looking to bring their creative projects to Kickstarter.
One of the most impactful things you’ll do as Tabletop Games Outreach Lead is challenge creators’ assumptions with your creative ideas. You’ll help them think critically about their project, from the rewards they offer to the narrative angles and backer communities they engage. Success in this role involves daily engagement with our exciting and unique community of tabletop games projects as you guide them towards well-thought-out goals, strategies, rewards, and messaging.

Kickstarter is seeking an Editor/Outreach Lead to manage our community of Design & Technology creators on the East Coast. In addition to liaising with an exciting network of creators, you’ll act as the primary steward of Design & Technology editorial channels (newsletters, blog posts, social media accounts, etc). This position joins our Outreach & International team based out of Kickstarter HQ in Brooklyn, NY.
About the Team
The Outreach & International team engages with, and advocates for, creators in the global creative communities we serve. Managing a large portfolio of relationships, we inspire creators to use Kickstarter to support their projects. We are a multidisciplinary, action-oriented team that believes deeply in the importance of creative independence.
Over the past decade, tens of thousands of product designers, engineers, and makers have come to Kickstarter to share their ideas with the world. We’ve helped creators launch new industries, reinvent manufacturing, and bring innovative products to life. To date, over 24 thousand Design & Technology projects have found success on Kickstarter — raising about $2 billion.
About the Role
As our Design & Technology Outreach Lead on the East Coast you’ll be responsible for guiding creators through the process of successfully planning, launching, and fulfilling Kickstarter campaigns. On a daily basis, you’ll be communicating with current creators (those with live projects or projects about to launch), with members of our Outreach team, and other internal stakeholders.
In your role as Editor you will work with the broader Design & Technology team and other company stakeholders to curate projects on the site and write for a variety of channels (newsletters, creator profiles, social media, educational resources, etc).
