Lambda School is growing quickly and as our first Staff Accountant you’ll be on the team that makes sure all the trains run on time. You’ll work with and report to the Senior Accountant.
We were one of the 1st educators in the United States to use Income Share Agreements (ISAs) to fund our students’ education. You’ll be on the frontline seeing how that works behind the scenes. And you’ll get to work with our ISA partners. You’ll also get to interact directly with our students.
One of Lambda School’s values is Organize Chaos, and the finance function is at the heart of that. We work in a fast environment and need someone who is flexible while also maintaining order. The objective of the finance function at Lambda School is to serve the organization and our students.
While we're looking for someone who can roll up their sleeves and do some day-to-day accounting "dirty work", we'd love to find someone whom we can also trust to own the books. We'll give you as much responsibility as you can take on.

As a product manager in Labs you will be working with student developers and internal stakeholders to craft a product vision that will be built by new junior developers fresh out of the Lambda curriculum and into an apprenticeship environment.
You'll be working with 2 main objectives:
1. Deliver meaningful product concepts to students that allow them to create impressive capstone projects
2. Help and support product leadership craft a product vision for the Lambda product suite.
The most revolutionary part of the process will be the sheer volume of engineers that will be building the product concepts you craft alongside a design partner and product leadership.
We need the right mix of leadership and vision to craft not just the current projects, but to scale the product concepts for thousands of developers. There will be a significant amount of products needing to be scoped and delivered.
Your core responsibility will be to continue to perform product research with students, hiring partners and other stakeholders. This research and information will give you the confidence to build out and test problem and solution concepts.
This is a full-time 40-hour role. You would be working from approximately 2pm PST-10pm PST.
Who you are:
The candidate we choose for this role will be responsible for product direction for thousands of student developers in the Lambda Labs experience. This person will work on developing a deep understanding of student and hiring manager problems and ideating on impactful software solutions.
Product direction is a collaborative effort between engineering, design, analytics, and student-facing teams. This means we're excited to find someone who constantly questions the cross-discipline impacts of product decisions, and ensures that all relevant issues are surfaced, considered, and dealt with.

As a Project Manager, you will manage, iterate upon, and create new processes and programs within the Lambda Labs program to ensure that student developers create impressive software products-- all while keeping students excited and accountable. You’ll work alongside Leadership and Program Managers during the execution of processes and sync daily with student Section Leads and student Project Managers to ensure they have all they need.
This role has two parts: Strategy and Tactical.
Some days you’ll be working on high-level planning -- Such as strategizing how we will scale and STILL maintain an engaging onboarding process. Or, work with Leadership and the Student Experience Manager to devise ways to improve NPS (Net promoter score) and increase student’s ease of getting hired.
And other days will be more tactical-- Such as working alongside the Co-Op Product Manager on product documentation so students can sign up for projects. Or, both creating and helping execute a Student Showcase with the Growth team for hiring managers. Your work will directly impact the user (student) experience, satisfaction, quality of completed software products, and student’s livelihoods (getting a career in the industry)!
