Founded in 1916 by two physician brothers, Drs. James Beebe and Richard C. Beebe, the medical center in Lewes is a 210-licensed-bed, not-for-profit seaside community hospital. Beebe's specialized service lines include cardiac and vascular, oncology, orthopaedics, population and community health, women's health, and surgical services.
In addition to the medical center, Beebe also operates three health campuses - Millville, Georgetown and Rehoboth Beach. These locations provide diagnostic imaging, lab services, walk-in care, and physical rehabilitation services. There are additional Beebe locations for primary care and specialty services in Milford, Millsboro, Long Neck (Millsboro), and Milton. Specialty practices include Beebe Vascular and Vein Center, Beebe Endocrinology, Beebe Diabetes Management, Beebe Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine, Ornish Lifestyle Medicine at Beebe, Gull House Adult Activities Center, Beebe Home Care Services, and Beebe Dermatology, among others. Beebe is also proud to offer a nursing school - the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Healthcare, located in Lewes.
