Real estate continues to be a relatively healthy business even during the pandemic. Tech should have no problem shifting to remote work (ever), but especially until it is safe to return to office/s. CEO is charismatic. It's a good place to get your foot in the door or maybe even a good second job, but def recommend moving on after a year or two.
Pretty sure they hire young talent and underpay them to cut costs. Pretty sure everyone is underpaid here, actually.
In normal times, remote work was very frowned upon, even during bad weather. Unnecessary in the tech world, and dangerous for no valid reason.
Early on, the company was really fun and healthy environment with lots of room for personalities to thrive, but then they hired HR people and things became very toxic.

The right company at an exciting time
It is great to work with a company that offers a solid product that you never need to apologize for. Customers love their product and they keep it for the long run because they get results. The company is investing in the future and it is exciting to be involved in such a dynamic environment.
Very open communication at the company and ideas are heard. The positivity and drive at the company seem to be universal. It is great to see attitudes and productivity doing well even as we learn to work from home.
I came to the company via a merger and wasn't sure how I would like it as my previous company was amazing. It is great to see that management on both sides obviously did their homework and it is a fantastic fit for product and culture.
Looking forward to working here for a long time and I have referred two employees to Moxi in my first year.
The only con would be the need to commute to downtown Seattle. Management seems to be convinced of the obvious fact that WFH is a solid strategy now so this might not be much of an issue now.

No product is perfect and software needs continuous "care and feeding". I would suggest that Moxi invest in development even more despite uncertainty. Now is the time to level up while others are cautious.

Welcoming environment; good vision & values
One of my favorite things about MoxiWorks is how open-minded the company is. Both culturally, but also with new ideas. Like most tech companies we are very data-driven, but management and leadership are open to hearing new ideas from anyone at any level.
There is also the freedom to fail. A lot of companies claim to have this approach to business, but MoxiWorks truly embraces it. I’m not scared to pitch new ideas because there is a thoughtful support system in place to let us try new things and think outside of the box for the betterment of the company as a whole.
MoxiWorks has also proven during the pandemic their commitment to treating us like humans and not just employees. It's been refreshing while everything else in the world is upside down to not feel devalued at work.
The only real con is that there are still some growing pains with interdepartmental communications as we grow, but it’s constantly evolving and improving so it’s really not much of a con and just a phase we are going through.

Love it here
This is a great place to work if you want to really grow your career and like working in a place were you get to wear many hats and not just focus on the same job functions day to day. Although we are growing rapidly, we are still a smaller company that sometimes requires you to wear many hats. If you are up for the challenge, this is a great opportunity to show what you are capable as well as experience different parts of the business. This is great if you are still not set on a career path and are wanting experience in different areas to make your decision.
Also, working at MoxiWorks through a global pandemic proved to me how thoughtful and solid the executive team is. They have handled such a fragile situation very well.
The only con I can think of is the weight you might put on with all the donuts and cake that we order for events!

Great Place To Grow In Tech
If you are willing to prove yourself, the leadership will put a great deal of trust in you to try challenging projects. I was allowed to execute projects that I wouldn't have been close to eligible foe at my previous company for with a similar title. I have a great deal of respect for the CEO who really tries to keep people motivated. They are also big believers on promoting from within. Solid growth path with strong investment backing and growth potential in our unique customer market.
Some growing pains due fast growth in 2019, but getting through it. At times the work can be a little overwhelming, but it comes in waves.

The grass IS greener at Moxi
Been at Moxi since there were ~50 or so employees. Today with more than triple that, I can definitely say that the company, culture, and leaders have grown leaps and bounds. Of course there are minor frustrations like with any job, but I know that I have it much better off at Moxi than elsewhere. Over the past 3.5 years, there have been times where I looked elsewhere. Every single time I came back to the fact that most other companies suck compared to Moxi and that I'm so lucky to be at a place with so many more pros than cons. Here are just a few:
- The leadership is wildly supportive and tries their best to be better. They know they're not perfect, and have recently gone through Nash training themselves, and then helped managers go through it as well. They're big on continuing education. They care about the culture. I really don't know what more you can ask for than leaders who are always aspiring to be better for themselves, their employees, and the company as a whole.
- For the size of company, they are extremely fair with compensation, benefits, time off (especially this), etc. I have more PTO than have ever been given at previous companies (*and am actually allowed to use it!).
- Our clients LOVE us. As far as real estate tech goes, it would be really hard to find someone that has clients that rave about us like ours do. We have 96% client retention, so we're obviously doing a LOT of things right. You're going to be proud of what you do. I cannot stress this enough.
- You aren't a number/you get a seat at the "table." Even though Moxi has grown to over 150+ employees, our execs and ceo will listen to you - they WANT to hear from you. You aren't treated as a low man on the totem pole.
- Our CEO isn't afraid to use his voice. Whether that's standing up for clients, calling out bullies in the industry, or more recently about BLM, he stands up for what he and we as employees believe in.
Even at this size there are only so many options for growth within the company. However, management does try their best to retain talent and create opportunities for employees.
