Requires an annual physical ability test with constantly changing rules. Policies change weekly. Command staff are mostly Air Force or military and have never performed commissioned police work. Most promote their friends and military colleagues ahead of actual workers. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NO_OPINION 0.0 2.0 3.0 1.0 1.0 4.0 1.0 41428 Open This is a civilian DoD job and not the military; It would serve the group best if you remember that. Stop promoting people out of favoritism and personal relationships. Take advice from people who have performed successfully at the professional level you falsely believe you have achieved. Stop attempting to create new, divisive and punitive rules in order to increase your worth on DCIPS. Stop threatening people who challenge you lack of experience and knowledge. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 4.0 Mar 24th, 2021 10:29PM Mar 24th, 2021 10:29PM National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA)

private:nationalgeospatial-intelligenceagencynga https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=41428 Mar 1st, 2021 12:00AM Open Open National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency Imagery Analyst United States USA Great career - just don't think about it too much Good pay, secure job, clear career trajectory and interesting work. Things are fairly flexible. There are a lot of opportunities for high performers to achieve and guardrails to get low performers back on track. Kinda hard to beat overall. Same as any government position - byzantine bureaucracy, watching contractors fleece taxpayers for pointless vanity projects, tendency for cynicism and inaction from the staff. It's not clear where the ship is sailing, and whether the lofty goals set by management are even possible. It can get pretty hopeless. But then you break through, and hey, you did a thing that would have taken 5% of the effort outside of the fed! Great job. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 41428 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 2.0 Mar 24th, 2021 10:29PM Mar 24th, 2021 10:29PM National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA)

Pay and benefits (including time off), flexible work schedule. No training for required certifications, management has limited real world business experience, horrible morale. "Values" are all talk and no action. Tons of useless emails on a daily basis. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 0.0 2.0 4.0 2.0 2.0 4.0 2.0 41428 Open Get some business training. Learn how to supervise. Honor your employees. If you are a polished business professional and come to work here, you will pull your hair out. This agency is an ancient dinosaur with lots of useless functions and information/processes. Real world auditors would have a field day on processes. Getting anything done involving other departments like ombudsman, OIG, etc. is a major hurdle and often employees get zero responses. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 4.0 Mar 24th, 2021 10:29PM Mar 24th, 2021 10:29PM National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA)
