1.There is a lot of harrassment from top management in IT. There is a constant search for escape goats to put all the blame on if anything fails. Even if some of the technical managers or directors are very competent or knowledgeable, they eventually leave owing to the third grade politics and toxic culture at executive levels. This has happened many a times in the organization leaving the team in a tough situation. 2. The top most leaders in IT heading data initiatives have literally zero knowledge about data and cannot hold intelligent discussions. They mostly throw hefty keywords in one hour meetings to sound intelligent and run the same presentation throughout the year assuming everyone around them is dumb. 3.There is a lot of fake promise about working on cutting edge technology without fulfilling any of them or addressing the problems highlighted in the survey. The analysts end up working mostly on excel sheets or fixing broken reports all year round 4.Project Planning is a joke and things keep changing mid way. The management keeps burning funds on half baked initiatives and then later asks analysts to 'clean up the mess somehow' 5. A lot of promotions are mostly based on friendships and relationships outside office and not on merit though the interviews are conducted to show that it was a fair processs . 6. Acts of aggression and bad mouthing by bosses are completely ignored even if you reach out to your leaders. 7. HR is pathetic at best. They are only good for recruitment and mostly uninformed.
