PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Draft commercial purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, reciprocal easement agreements, construction contracts, and other commercial real estate agreements. Negotiate favorable terms on behalf of the company. Review purchase and sale agreements, perform due diligence, monitor contingencies, coordinate transactions, and work with team to obtain permits and close commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions. Review title commitments, recorded documents, environmental reports, and surveys, and generate title and survey objections. Draft closing, conveyancing, and corporate resolution documents in connection with transactions. Track transaction tasks, parties, and key dates, and communicate progress to team as issues and tasks are resolved. Follow up on the typical host of post-closing matters. REQUIREMENTS Completion of law school with a Juris Doctor degree and admission to the bar and in good standing in the State of Georgia; admission to the bar and in good standing in the State of South Carolina a plus. 5+ years of experience as a transaction attorney focused on real estate with deep commercial contracting expertise.
