Fun but stressful

Overall, the job isn’t bad. I’ve met some really great people, both customers and coworkers, and the pay is great compared to other entry level jobs in the area. The main issue with working here is the stress levels you have to endure. It also feels like most of the management team does not care about any concerns you’re having, and others can be blatantly rude and unprofessional at times. There are social cliques as well, and if you aren’t on good terms with certain people, you can be treated poorly until you quit out of frustration. The good parts of working here are centered around the daily activities. I enjoy the actual work I do, and I would be much more comfortable working here if some of the managers were replaced.

They play favorites and do not help you at all.

They aren't inclusive, they play favorites, they can work you just enough where you don't get a break, they don't take care of their sick animals and let them die, and they never come replace you when you need to use the bathroom.

I learned so much during my time as an associate buyer. I enjoyed my team and had great vendor partners. Being able to keep up with the fast pace and changing strategies was important. I only rated 4 stars because I don't think the business tools support the work well enough.

Online booking system is terrible.can easily get over booked. They only care about add ons and numbers, not stress level on the groomers or the dog. No time to clean or answer phones. Cameras constantly watching, so the groomers are forced to turn away dogs for every health and behavioral issue because they don't want it to come back on them.

Overwhelming but worth it

From my personal experience petsmart is willing to pay you what you’re worth. The job can be overwhelming at times but I found it very rewarding. If you manage to build a good team in your store it makes it much less overwhelming

A lot of cooperate bs but when I worked there a groomer could make 30,000+ and there are good benefits. Groomers worked 7am-9pm/seven days a week so there were different shifts
