Your job is to make everyone in the engineering department successful with the instinctive ability to fix issues that are getting in the way of success, from code review feedback to partnering closely with recruiting. If you are an engineering leader with a passion for building and scaling engineering teams, then look no further! </span></p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;">You'll have ultimate responsibility for engineering velocity, system availability, and information security.</li> <li>You'll partner with product to translate business objectives into clear organizational goals.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">You'll forecast and communicate progress towards objectives to senior leadership and other stakeholders.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">You'll steer a culture that prevents, diagnoses, and resolves complex organizational dysfunction and conflict.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">You'll set a recruiting and talent development strategy for the engineering organization.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who you are:</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;">You have a deep understanding of the principles of agile development and continuous delivery.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">You have prior experience managing managers in an engineering organization of at least 20 people.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">You have been in an engineering leadership position at a post Series-A funded startup.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">You have successfully grown an engineering organization or led it through significant change.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">You have prior experience as an individual contributor in product development.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">You have worked on a SaaS product before.</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">You can communicate clearly verbally and in writing.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to have:</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">B2B product development experience in prosumer/SMB</span></li> </ul> <p><em>Sometimes self-doubt can be a mental roadblock when applying for a job.
