A lot of cracks in the foundation + gaslighting by leadership
|
|
- CEO is one of the greatest leaders I’ve worked for and is incredibly humble. His passion for his vision shows and it’s clear he is in this business to make a positive impact on customers and not about turning a quick profit. I wouldn’t say the same about the rest of the C-Suite leaders though.
- Made some good friends there and people are easy going.
- Fantastic work/life balance
|
They seem to have a habit of firing people abruptly without warning. Every week there is an announcement that someone or a few people were let go and they ‘wish them all the best in their next endeavours’. People disappear constantly and there is a lot of fear of going into work every morning worrying about who might be next. People are keeping their head down to do what’s asked of them but are afraid to push back when they’re at capacity or to challenge ideas (I thought ideas were welcome but apparently not). They aren’t doing mass RIFs to avoid attention but they sure are doing a lot of quiet firings.
I’d be weary about joining the GTM team. Pay is below market (a 4-day week is the golden handcuff) and they don’t invest in your professional growth so don’t expect to get any coaching or mentoring — the leaders are more worried about saving themselves.
I had high hopes here but have been severely disappointed in the lack of execution to improve things around here. You are often fending for yourself. Sadly this is the most disorganized company I’ve ever worked for in my entire career. And to think, I joined because they were a sustainable company and wanted to find a long term fit but once you get in bed with them, well….

Hire a COO or Chief of Staff to streamline operations. The lack of communication between departments and proper processes are causing a lot of mistrust in executive leadership when employees are asked to execute on multiple tasks without clear indication what the impact will be.
People that are in management positions need to get professional training on how to properly lead and manage a team as there is no support whatsoever.

Questionable leadership. HR needs work. Inaccurate employer branding.
|
|
- The CEO, Aman, is a really good person who leads with his heart and genuinely believes in the product.
- HR has programs in place (Quarterly Social Impact and monthly programming for D&I)
- Benefits are average but better than smaller companies.
- With recent series C funding, this means more money for the company, which means a potential of more opportunities
|
Leadership Decisions: The recent promotion of a leader has raised concerns among employees due to perceived instances of inappropriate behaviour relating to D&I. It would be helpful if the company could provide clearer communication on how it addresses such concerns to ensure a respectful workplace for everyone. Specifically, guidelines on how the company addresses inappropriate behavior from leadership pertaining to discrimination.
People Team Practices: While the HR team emphasizes a "people-first" approach, some employees feel that the messaging doesn't always align with their experiences. There's an opportunity for the company to enhance transparency and address any discrepancies between stated values and day-to-day practices.
Work-Life Balance Illusion: The implementation of a 4-day work week is appreciated in theory, but some employees have found that the workload expectation for a 5-day work week remains consistent. Clarifying the expectations and adjusting workloads accordingly could improve the overall effectiveness of this initiative

- Consider the impact of good (and bad) leaders.
- Be intentional and considerate about the people you promote.
- Include mandatory D&I training for everyone, especially leadership.
- Review messaging the recruiters give during the interview process (make sure it's aligned with company values and vision)
- Be transparent to employees internally

Unmet Expectations at Procurify
|
|
The company allows you to work from home
|
My experience at Procurify fell short of the promises discussed during the hiring process. The discussed salary after commissions and the perceived ease of scheduling meetings/deals closing was not very attainable for the BDR team. The turnover within the team is extremely alarming. They rarely promote and don't have anyone on the team over 2 years. The commitment to promised career growth and salary increases remained unfulfilled which created a sense of undervaluation amongst the team. Managements failure to deliver on its commitments has left me with a negative impression. I strongly advise potential employees to carefully assess the company's dedication to its promised commitments before investing their time and energy.
Additionally, the company asks it's employees to write positive reviews on this platform and discourages any reviews that aren't positive..

Tyrannic VP of People Destroyed The Company
|
|
The 4 day work week keeps everyone here. The company culture was once vibrant and innovative, with a team that is genuinely passionate and dedicated to our goals. The emphasis on employee well-being is evident and it's a place where you at times feel valued and part of a larger mission. The leadership team, with the exception I'll note below, is approachable and deeply invested in the company's success and employee satisfaction.
|
The working experience at Procurify is severely tarnished by a critical issue: the VP of People. Her facade of transparency and openness is nothing but a deceitful veneer. In reality, her authoritarian management style is not only oppressive but blatantly contradicts the company's professed values of transparency and trust. Her presence has cast a shadow over the entire company, creating an atmosphere of intimidation and discomfort. All employees, myself included, perceive her as entirely unapproachable and dismissive of any feedback or concerns.
Her actions, which frequently fly in the face of the company's ethos, go unchecked due to her seemingly unbreakable influence over the CEO. This iron grip she holds has stifled any possibility of meaningful change or opposition to her dictatorial approach. The team is left in a state of deep disillusionment, witnessing how the toxic behavior of a single individual is allowed to erode the core values and culture of the entire organization.

I believe Procurify has the potential to be a truly exceptional place to work if this issue is addressed. My advice would be for the CEO and other senior leaders to take a closer look at the impact the VP of People is having on the workforce. It's crucial to align her actions with the company's core values and to ensure that all voices within the company are heard and valued. A truly transparent and open dialogue is needed to rectify this situation and restore the faith of the employees in the leadership.
