They bang on about how you get your first month rent free (so you can build a client base and get income without having to worry about paying rent) but rent was taken out of my account after only 2 weeks! Leaving me in debt and having to pay a repayment plan. For such a big corporation they pay pennies, but charge PTs extortionate rent without helping them run their business. Very strict on rules (especially the ones that don’t make sense), because the chain of command and The amount of clubs they run, it’s impossible to get anything sorted in timely manner. They’re putting up this front of being welcoming and inclusive but don’t let it fool you: you’d be better of going to a gulag than working for them. Upper management have their favourites, if you’re not a robot they won’t respect you so try not to show any human emotion while working there. People are hired based purely on their CVs, so you end up working with people who have no clue what they’re doing. They don’t pay overtime but expect it constantly, I’ve ended up spending 70h a week in the club I was running. Overall, horrible experience and I wouldn’t recommend it if you value yourself and your time. However, the way it is set up for PT's is poor. You work 12 free hours essentially (that they say they pay you for) and then you end up owing them an extra £100 for rent on top of that. As a newbie it is very hard to start as a personal trainer.
