30 holidays + Bundesland holidays, no pressure to work overtime
Remote work
I can go to an appointment without ruffling any feathers
lots to learn, lots of work to do, no one will stop you if pick up responsibilities, atleast on the software side. Easy to get promoted if you are competent
Make sure you negotiate
everyone seems open and nice
seems so, also Ausländer seem to no trouble receiving promotions into managing roles
lots of processes are becoming transparent and you can ask any question without fear
2 nice offices with many amenities, you can even bring your dog. home office allowed with 0 guilt for not coming in (irregardless of the pandemic).
Everyone is pretty young and to be honest we don't get many resumes of older people, so kind of N/A
There is a culture of being nice to one-another
Can't think of any counter arguments
lots of people know Scalable and are excited when you mention it
As with any mid sized company +, lots of the really fun stuff was already programmed
Scalable is a generally a popular brand and the employees are mostly proud to work at SC and it shows.

Es kommt extrem stark darauf an, wen/was man erwischt.

Financially the company seems in good enough shape to keep on building an image to attract more clients. They should be able to survive for a few more years at least.
Clients are not getting good enough products because the company doesn't look to be well organized internally. There's too much happening around and not enough focus on the single product that actually sells.
Compensation is not transparent at all. It looks like there are large disparities in that scale.
Pay attention to the pains of lower levels. Internal organization is not optimal and that can be seen on how the amount of working hours as well as the amount of pressure of Client Services and Operations. Focus on one single product is crucial instead of having many dragging unhappy resources. For that to happen C-levels need courage to act.

Suffice to say it's quite common to see people online at any time, any day of the week, including Sundays.
Salaries are decent if you negotiate well. Items like bonuses or stock options are not to be discussed. Additional benefits are very underwhelming. From what I gathered the company has the practice of under-compensating prospective employees which shows a lot.
Management shows the image that they are trying to improve things but they don't really recognize feedback from lower level employees. Company is being dragged by their multiple products which ironically does not allow the company to properly scale in growth.
There's quite a lot of communication regarding the progress of the company and each team's contributions.
Older employees look frustrated and disenchanted. They can identify the problems but their hands look tied. Company is young but it's shocking that on average people stay in the company for 1-2 years maximum.
There's so many people leaving and joining the company at the same time that it's hard to create any relationships.
I don't know of any existing programs.
Company markets with a cutting edge image but reality is quite different
There are some interesting work and challenges around. Unfortunately there's not much incentive given the total absence of bonus or equity. After a while the majority of employees end up not caring much.
Depends on the team. A lot of churning depending in which team you work.

If you are in a broker team expected to be on support till late evening doing fire fighting.
Some people are favored over others based on how good they are at faking their achievements or taking credits for someone else's work
Salary really depend on how you can negotiate. I knew some really good lamented people who were underpaid and I knew some people got a higher salary just because they had a PhD (in a completely irrelevant field). In general the salary for the software engineers are less than the competitors
My supervisor was really good as a person and a colleague, but it was clear that he lacked experience when it comes to leadership.
I have never face any discrimination or heard of any situation during my time at scalable
I would say communication is a bit secretive than I expected. If you are in the management level (team lead or and engineering manager) then those people knows a lot of stuff. But normal software engineers only get to hear stuff during the all hands or through private discussions with other employees.
Working from home is a plus. Really good equipments. 1k Education budget. You get a free prime broker account.
All of the old colleagues are really nice people and good colleagues. However when I left the company only few old timers were left in the company and seems like a lot of people are planning to leave as well
Working on a cross-cutting feature could be super inefficient. Sometimes only the tram leads or product owners does the discussion among teams and normal software engineers are not involved in those discussions which leads to a lot of misunderstandings
I've heard that the used coffee capsules at the office are recycled. Other than that I'm not aware of any other action.
Has a good and growing image in Germany
It depends on the team you get to work on. Some people get to work on really interesting stuff and others has to kill time by working on legacy stuff
The team I have worked was the best. We always made sure to keep a good atmosphere in the team no matter what was going on outside. But I cannot say the same for all the teams. I've had discussions with the colleagues who were not happy with their team, especially the team managers

Germany has it pretty good for employees. In my home country there's no such thing as paid vacation. However, compared to what my friends get who work at BMW, the startup culture makes us work harder and longer hours.
Most employees are mid-level already and good enough to get the job done. You start without any training and you will never receive a certificate or anything that would really help your career.
They have a wide range. If you negotiate well and can make good money. No benefits.
Some middle managers left; now managers have a lot of people under them and don't really manage.
It's pretty rare to get promoted as a foreigner. Management favors employees who talk, not those who work. There's a chaotic hidden hierarchy centered around the C suite.
Working from Home is always possible and expected during Corona. If this is your think, you're good.
Management is exclusively white, middle-aged men. I think they do alright.
They recycle coffee grounds from the kitchen, so I guess they care.
The tech stack is still okay, but boring and ageing. The tasks are repetitive unless you volunteer to work in operations, which is special...
