The Franciscan sisters love the college and are trying to do whatever it takes to keep the college going. Their mission is incredible and are literally changing lives of the students who attend SLC. The definition of insanity is alive and well. The college is facing challenging times and leadership is like a rotating door where every 2 years or so someone is let go, replaced, given a few years to change things around but the result itself never changes. The pay is below market with no annual adjustments, and incredibly poor benefits. No one works together and is willing to do whatever it takes to throw people under the 'bus' to make themselves look good and get ahead. The relaxed atmosphere allows relative flexibility for the individual to balance home and work life obligations and to truly be productive as an employee. While mission is important, it is hard to support that mission when employee compensation is not fair or adequate.
