Not a criticism, but a consideration for prospective employees: Flexibility is a must! Here in our UK team we follow the lead from our US head office, and then translate initiatives to support custom throughout Europe. Roles within the marketing team would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced and changeable work schedule.

I feel incredibly lucky to have found such a supportive, caring, flexible company to work for. This is a company who really value and look after their employees which is an extensive of their amazing customer service ethos. I have worked for many companies but I have never seen such a genuine desire to do the right thing for, not only, the customer and employee but also the environment and community.
They are flexible, encourage and support development and proactive involvement from everyone, all idea's or thoughts are listened to and acted on, if appropriate. They provide many social interactions within the company as a whole, creating a family-type feel to the business. The managers of every team are incredibly supportive; I personally have never felt so supported and appreciated. The products we sell are fantastic products and there is a genuine pride amongst all staff. The company provide a large range of benefits alongside your salary which is impressive for a company of this size.
simplehuman is a fantastic company to work for - I am very proud to be a simplehuman!

I enjoy working at simplehuman today, with 30 employees, as much as I did when I started 11 years ago with 6 employees. The company allows you to grow and develop your career in your areas of strength. Add to that a flexible working environment encouraging a good work life balance and you have the reason employee turnover is low. Yes, its busy and sometimes stressful but with the support of colleagues these challenges are easily dealt with. Staff well being is important to the management team.

Terrible working environment and employees are very dispensable and not valued. The CEO doesn't empower or trust anyone. Don't be impressed by the basketball court or the yoga classes; it's just a façade. I have worked for top brand before joining them and I have never encountered a professional working environment that is led by fear and microaggressions. I wish I knew all this before I accepted the job. At this point, I benefit nothing from posting this, but trying to help the next person. If there was a rating less than 1, I would have given the company that rating. Awful experience!

There are always opportunities for training and development, and the atmosphere among colleagues is one of mutual support and friendship. Effort is recognised as well as success, and there's plenty of cake and laughter in the office. When I returned to work after maternity leave, and again during the childcare challenges of the COVID lockdown, simplehuman was really flexible regarding working hours and location. The Goring office location is idyllic and I'm proud to introduce simplehuman products to my friends and family.

The flipside to simplehuman's flexibility is that plans can change suddenly, and often quite late in the process. If you need to know what's happening a year in advance then we are not the employer for you!
