They met while studying at London College of Communication in 2004. Lina went on to do a BA in Product design at Central Saint Martins while Sara stayed at LCC finishing a BA in Typography. Their aim is to combine typography and product design to create functional and visually compelling products with a sense of personality. Since the launch of their first product, Vers Libre a range of candle holders in shape of letters, they have participated in fairs such as Stockholm Furniture Fair, Clerkenwell Design Week and Pulse London. "Vers Libre" are a range of candle holders inspired by Dadaism and woodcut fonts used around that time. As the letters are made in different fonts and size they can be used in different ways; standing, lying flat, upside down with candles or tea lights. Letters A-Z as well as the ampersand are available in birch plywood and can also be painted for a more personal touch. They are sold in stores like Liberty and Selfridges in London, NK and R.O.O.M in Stockholm to I.T in Hong Kong. | Open | Product Design, Typography, Branding | Open | Stoke Newington | London | GB | Studio Yra | |||||
