It’s seven o’clock on a Friday night. The rain is falling so hard it sounds like stones pelting the glass skylight. As the lights are shut off and the key slips into a tiny brass cylinder next to a huge white overhead garage door, the phone rings. The caller, in desperation, really doesn’t expect anyone to answer. But someone does. The owner of a small car dealership picks up the phone in the service bay and in a few minutes has gathered some tools, a flashlight and a new car battery. The owner and his young son jump into a shiny green 1970 Chrysler Newport and head toward the local supermarket. After a few minutes the stranded mother of three is back on her way home. It’s seven-fourteen on a Friday night.
The Brunner family owned C. T. Brunner & Sons Chrysler-Plymouth in Verona, NJ for almost 100 years and had a long history of serving neighbors in the surrounding communities. The tradition of “exceeding customer expectations” is in its fourth generation of the Brunner family. As Robert Brunner learned from his father on that rainy night, and on many occasions after that, customer service has no boundaries of time or task. It is more than a mission statement and some inspirational posters hanging on an office wall. Customer service is simply a “new” term for old fashioned common courtesy. Like his father and grandfather, Robert believes in treating people with respect, fairness and exceptional service. And you can’t help but experience the difference that makes, the moment you walk in the door of The Brunner Real Estate Group at Keller Williams Diamond Partners.
