No training, forced to work from home, have a bank account with them and volunteer somewhere against your wishes. Management only care about targets such as calls being answered, even though you don't know what you are talking about.

A stressful job, poorly paid
|
Retail banking is pretty thankless work, made worse by some of the most apallingly rude customers I have ever served. The team I worked with in my branch were incredibly friendly and helpful, but the work itself was poorly paid and management seemed interested only in profit, not the happiness of their own staff.

An engaging work environment with multiple challenges and objectives to work towards. However, seeing how these fit into the Bank's wider objectives and goals is challenging.
Management is concise with feedback and what you need to do to achieve objectives, no real talk about career progression or what you would like to be doing for the Bank outside of your current role.
The most enjoyable part of the Job is being able to solve complex customer queries or highlight our ethical policy which sets us apart from other Banks.

Do not work here, long hours , so many calls none stop , customers not friendly , coffee machine isn’t that great either , can be cold office the heating is no on .

Same repetitive day to day tasks limited support available and at times none. If the response is an easy one however it does tend to be immediate, it’s very selective at times what gets replied to.
Most of the staff are friendly and are willing to help.
Not best place for staff retention you see a lot of experienced people leave the business and then they struggle to fill the knowledge gaps and accommodate what needs doing.
Mobile app is not reliable and always impacting call queues and customer response times. Customers are understandably coming through frustrated more and more often the call queues are above 20 mins.

Working for the co-operative bank gives me freedom and great work life balance with remote working and flexible hours. The main aspect that allows this is the trust within my team and with our managers. The bank has lots of other great benefits with the large holiday entitlement and the ability to buy extra holidays.

Job is very fast paced which can be stressful. Also issues with providing accommodations in a timely manner/at all. Systems stopped working constantly making it more difficult to do anything
