Since 1878, The Family Partnership has helped more than one million vulnerable children and adults. Our rich history reflects the important and unique role the private, nonprofit human service system plays in the Twin Cities. In an increasingly racially and ethnically diverse community, The Family Partnership has adapted to meet the needs of vulnerable children and families.
Over the past five years, we’ve nearly doubled our impact, connecting with 36,021 individuals from 23,877 households throughout the Twin Cities and is surrounding communities in 2015. Because many of the families who have the most need face significant barriers to services (income, transportation, language), The Family Partnership brings its services to more than 100 schools, churches, community sites, and directly into 600 homes. In addition, we use tele-health technology to reach even more children, families, and communities.
The Family Partnership also understands “it takes a village…” and that is why we have advocated for public policies and systems making it easier for families to support themselves and raise healthy, happy children. In fact, The Family Partnership believes the best social service agency IS the family, and effective solutions include both individual interventions and creating better neighborhoods where children and families can thrive.
