Nothing like the messages they were trying be perceived as
- Free quarterly product, stocked pantry
- Met some very smart and talented colleagues here
- Strict and micromanaging work environment which seems to trickle from top down
- No trust in what we're hired to do and lack of interest in growth opportunities
- Ideas often shut down quickly, however when later suggested by upper management it's suddenly a great idea
- Lots of corporate politics and sucking-up
- Strange infatuation with Victoria's Secret
- Poor pay

Fast paced, good team, lots of impact and responsibility
I joined the marketing team in the past year. What excites me the most is how much impact I've been able to have have in a short time, the brand has a ton of potential to become a household name and I'm thankful to be along for the ride. The head of marketing is strong, she knows her stuff, and I've learned a lot about how to be a collaborative partner from her. She also has taught me to stand behind what I believe. My cross functional partners are awesome, the people in particular make it great here along with the product and mission.
I really appreciate our monthly company updates. There is a lot of transparency around the business, strategies, and people updates, which I didn't get at my last company so I really value it here.
Projects and initiatives move quickly here
Changing priorities as the business evolves
Been harder to collaborate remotely across teams during covid
No matching 401K, no annual bonus just equity

Second review, 6 stars if I could, Grass is not greener
This is my second review of Thirdlove the first was while I was there. I have now moved on and realize a number of things about the leadership and the company. Thirdlove has created a fabulous work environment one I sincerely wish and thought when I left my current company would replicate. Leadership values hard work, thinking outside the box, and independence even at a young age which I was when I started there, something I am rarely given now. I was given a lot of responsibility despite having limited career experience and I progressed quickly. I was paid fairly given how much work experience I had, and only received a slight bump without stock when I left.
In retrospect this is a great company, its hard to explain in just one review why it is and the various negative reviews written here by people who were fired or were unhappy because they probably weren’t good at their jobs should realize the grass is not greener - Thirdlove is a really great place. Not at all perfect, growing pains everywhere but if you want to work at a startup not a big company, and thrive in a fast paced environment I cant imagine a better place to learn a lot and have an impact.
Know if you are reading this that if you want to take on responsibility, be kept accountable for metrics and deliverables not facetime or hours put in as the company and at least my manager and her manager Ra’el gives you a lot of flexibility, this is the place for you. Disregard the negative reviews, at least for me and my peers who have left or were let go of, hindsight is 2020. We loved our time there made some of the best friends we’ve ever had in our life, and appreciated the leadership at all levels even if they are not perfect.
Product and creative sometimes is too slow creating other bottlenecks in the company.
Let go of low performers faster.

Develop the high performers more and let them know they are strong.
Do more so people respect the culture you have built, not sure how to do this, but keep trying, HR and People have done a lot but there is more you can do, other companies do this better.

Treated with no value
Decent trainings and learning opportunities for employees.
Bad pay on all levels. Toxic management. I'm surprised there hadn't been a lawsuit. Very poor leadership and unbelievably micromanaged. Employees were treated with no value and as if they were always replaceable. Confusing leaders who weren't aligned with the company's mission, vision, and values.

Co-CEOs Meh...
Good benefits, office was nice, perks used to be good, now work from home, far enough away from SF to be under their radar a big plus.
Co-CEOs not strictly a woman run company though portrayed that way, Dave can't delegate so micro manages operations and Heidi is relegated to design and being the face of the company.
