<p><strong>About You</strong></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We're looking for a versatile <strong>Senior Product Designer</strong> to lead design in one of our product teams, helping to shape the future of our SME financial platform. Whichever team you join, the impact and scope of this role are huge, and you’ll be a key contributor to our continued success. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Your work here will shape the way that members interact with their finances, to help them grow and give them time back to do what they love.<br><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em><br>This is a remote position but at this point we're only considering applications from Ukraine. Occasional traveling to our office in Sofia is expected post-pandemic.</em></span><br></span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced product professionals and hand-in-hand with developers, data scientists, product owners, and UX research to build, ship, and create a world-class SME financial platform.</span></p>

<p><strong>Some of the things you’ll be doing:&nbsp;</strong></p>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Leading design for a product area. This includes driving the future vision of this area, making sure it complements a cohesive overall Tide experience, delivering on incremental steps to help the team head in this direction.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Embedding a cross-functional product team, responsible for all design artefacts produced; from initial discovery and user journey mapping through to the execution of final UI design details informed by our design system.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Understanding the members you're designing for. Whether it's joining user research sessions, learning from previous insights, reading data reports, or running your own research and analysis, you'll strive to understand the what, why, and how of the problems you're solving to ensure we create products that save our members time and money.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Collaborating regularly using solid communication, documentation, and facilitation skills.&nbsp;</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Working to make sure your team isn't just shipping great designs, but they are deeply involved throughout the design thinking process end to end.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Executing (and advocating for) polished, intuitive, and accessible user experiences. You're pragmatic and able to balance the ideal experience with knowing where and when to make scoping trade-offs based on technical constraints, experimentation strategy or business risk.</span></li>

<p>Your Team</p>
<p>As a Lead Backend Engineer at Tide (fondly referred to as a Tidean, a mighty challenger of the banking world) you’ll join an ambitious team of highly motivated, talented Tideans who love to collaborate, and are driven by helping people achieve their business ambitions. <p>As part of this team, you would be working on early engineering phases to lay the groundwork for your team(s). You will lead backend engineers across multiple agile teams splitting your time between design, coding, mentoring and managing other team members. You will be the person people turn to seeking advice and solutions to difficult problems.</p>
<p>Joining one or more multidisciplinary agile teams, you will be required to work closely with product owners, architects, mobile engineers, and other business members to translate requirements into well-engineered solutions.</p>
<p>You’ll be a key contributor to our backend community of practices and your input on how to improve processes and maintain a high quality across the backend will be very welcomed. <p>About the Tech</p>
<p>On the backend we see Java 8 as legacy and use Java 11+ for our micro-services. We provide RESTful APIs to our colleagues in the frontend, but also use gRPC for internal service-to-service communications. Spring Boot is our work horse, but we are open to new experiments. We are cloud-native and run everything on AWS. You’ll see containers (Docker), queues (SNS+SQS) and events everywhere. The nature of our business naturally fits with relational databases, but we have also found some use cases for NoSQL.</p>
<p>Our frontends have done an incredible job at consuming our APIs and providing the best UX to our members. They are fully native Android and iOS apps or Angular 2+ web apps. DevOps provides vital infrastructure and operations support and our architects guide us with the long term vision.</p>

<p><strong>About You</strong></p>
<p>The main purpose of the role is to implement, administer and maintain all Cloud Infrastructure related technologies within Tide, also providing 3rd line support functions to the Service Desk and Support Teams. You'll utilize a full range of organisational and interpersonal skills to help keep our teams on track, execute specific design initiatives intended to grow team culture, industry expertise, and team impact. You'll have an opportunity to work with cross-functional teams as you establish great ways of working together.</p>

<p><strong>Some of the things you’ll be doing:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Delivering projects within the Corporate IT and Infrastructure space, implementing new technologies, improving existing practices, integrating the multiples of SaaS applications with Tide systems</li>
<li>Providing&nbsp; 3rd line systems and application level support to end users</li>
<li>Analysing&nbsp; problems, answer questions and provide training on IT Systems</li>
<li>Implementing automation and integration of security best practices in to relating to the IT Infrastructure, by developing tools and code where out of the box isn’t available</li>
<li>Implementing automation of periodic maintenance tasks relating to the IT Infrastructure and systems in conjunction with the wider Infrastructure team</li>
<li>Identifying, test, and implement workarounds for reported issues</li>
<li>Providing project updates for assigned project deliverables</li>
<li>Creating and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented projects and work within an ITIL focussed environment.</li>
<li>Monitoring and troubleshooting network related issues.</li>
<li>Identifying and automate mundane tasks.</li>
</ul>
<p><br><strong>You’ll be a great fit if:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience with Okta, implementing applications and automating onboarding, offboarding and provisioning tasks.</li>
<li>Experience or knowledge based around next gen security tooling defined around zero trust networking</li>
<li>Backup technologies</li>
<li>Microsoft inTune Experience</li>
<li>Jamf Pro Management</li>
<li>AWS Experience – Workspaces, Appstream, VPC, EC2</li>
<li>Cisco networking and unified comms</li>
<li>Experience with automation flows and systems to help implement these, e.g. ServiceNow</li>
<li>Experience of SAN technologies is preferred.</li>
<li>Powershell or BASH scripting experience</li>
<li>Previous experience automating tasks with coding languages such as Python, Ruby or Pearl</li>
<li>Must have a practical level of experience implementing and administrating network and security solutions that utilise TCPIP-based services:- DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP etc.</li>
