Really nice around Christmas time, there's usually a cash bonus. If they like you, you get the best accounts and they leave you alone more. 7 days of PTO your first year of starting and only moves up to 12 after the first year. I used to get 25 days of PTO where I worked and standard is generally 16 so it's incredibly low. They also only like you if you work 24/7. If they don't like you, they'll put you on a plan and give you low accounts so you don't bonus. If they do like you, they'll kill you with work basically. They also show up late to every meeting. If a meeting is at 10AM-11AM, you're starting at 10:30. -1.0 NEGATIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 3.0 3.0 2.0 1.0 3.0 1.0 856241 Open Figure out how to run your business better. private:tntdental https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=856241 Jul 5th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open TNT Dental Analyst Richardson, TX Good for starting out Friendly and helpful co-workers (most of them - especially client-facing departments) Not a place to have a career at. If you're into digital marketing, it's easy to get in to gain some experience but there's not much growth. The company started about 20 years ago but is still considered midsize which shows their focus is not on growing it much and it reflects in how day-to-day operations and issues are dealt with. Turnover rate is high because employees end up getting burnout and realize the owners are not willing to work on fixing things not working right for the growth of the company but treat it as a family business where employees opinions are of not much value. My whole time there, there was not one training on ethics showing how less they care about how employees are treating each other. There are toxic conversations and gossips between employees and even managers and owners on the daily so if that's your thing go for it. I've heard people making racist remarks on many occasions what the HR was well aware about but nothing was ever done because they weren't technically complained about it. You can keep a distance to keep your own peace but only for so long but eventually you'd rather work somewhere where everyone is celebrated. Hopefully now with the current climate they will care at least a bit. Focus is on things that don't matter much to the employees but that's their money saving tactics. They would throw out some money occasionally on bingo days, lunch/breakfast, etc so they can make the company look fun rather than paying decent salary and provide enough vacation/sick days. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 2.0 2.0 2.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 856241 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 0.0 Apr 29th, 2021 05:55PM Apr 29th, 2021 05:55PM TNT Dental Technology Software & Computer Services
private:tntdental https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=856241 Jun 29th, 2019 12:00AM Open Open TNT Dental Administrative Richardson, TX There’s worse. There’s better. Somewhat flexible working hours. Overall benefit packages are ok. Health insurance is a good deal. Everyone that works there is nice and willing to help each other. Very relaxed dress and environment. The work you do can be enjoyable. There’s rarely late working nights or a need to work 60 plus hours week that can be common in typical office jobs, unless you want to. I never dreaded going to work. The negative reviews are right. They hire inexperienced people at low salaries. If you’re going to do that, you have to give them the skills to succeed and you have to give them pay increases, real ones, to keep them. The micromanaging is ludicrous but it’s also because of said inexperienced employees who are never empowered to grow on their own. The salary complaints are real. It’s hard to get an actual raise, not some weird bonus scheme, but a salary raise. Don’t expect much praise for good work and definitely don’t expect a yearly increase unless you beg for one. The vacation and holiday policies are not great. At least you get some. Until recently you never got more than ten days vacation even if you managed to stay for several years. Staying more then a couple years is rare here. Vacation policy has recently changed, but instead of increasing overall PTO for everyone, they took away “sick” days and reduced overall PTO. They encourage everyone to speak their mind, but there’s an overall feeling that decisions are really made by one person and no one speaks up and says what’s on their mind. This is frustrating at best. I think the worst thing is management feels sneaky. They say they offer you things, but when you sit back and analyze what you’re getting you’ve been deceived. If you do decide to leave for a better opportunity, be cautious. They do not react well. It’s pretty immature. No one in the company will even know you left for a month. -1.0 NEGATIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 0.0 NO_OPINION 8.0 3.0 2.0 4.0 3.0 2.0 3.0 856241 Open Do some research on what other companies offer their employees and then match that. Come into 2019. Hire some experienced people and pay them well, especially a front and back end developer. Can’t grow a company that depends heavily on technology if no one knows what they’re doing. Get a trained HR person or two that advocates for your employees. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 2.0 Apr 29th, 2021 05:55PM Apr 29th, 2021 05:55PM TNT Dental Technology Software & Computer Services
private:tntdental https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=856241 Jun 28th, 2019 12:00AM Open Open TNT Dental Web Developer Richardson, TX Good Going on Great Great management and ownership. They seem to really care about their employees and show it. Activities during work hours and group/family outings sometimes after Fridays and weekends. 5k/10k/half marathons as teams can be fun for some. Consistently challenging work. Easy to rise up and be the “Star” if you really care about your work and helping others. They’re a growing company and need passionate people to continue. I really enjoyed my time there but moved on to freelance with a few large clients. While I enjoy the freedom, sometimes I wish I was still there for the stability. Great benefits, as well. If you workout and use the Humana app to track workouts, you collect points that can be redeemed for gift cards (Amazon, Target, etc.) I racked up $400+ one year saving up my points. Interesting inside tidbit - they’re making a lot of changes soon updating internal software and development processes. It’s an interesting time to be working there if you want to be on the ground floor of progressive company change. If you’re proficient in modern programming languages, you probably could spearhead some fun initiatives. Tend to hire pretty well, but there’s a few bad eggs that can sometimes bring down the team. Some people have issue with being an adult / being held accountable to do their job. I think that’s evident throughout the drama queen negativity on here (take all the bad reviews with a HUGE grain of salt). They do have a thorough interview process, but still sometimes get duped. I guess it’s 50/50 (or less) when it comes to hiring, so not sure I blame them. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 1.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 856241 Open Spend more time on the job interviewing. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 4.0 Apr 29th, 2021 05:55PM Apr 29th, 2021 05:55PM TNT Dental Technology Software & Computer Services

I haven't had another job that I could go in and work on my computer all day listening to music and just implement my talents. The company is lead by Tim, Tim, and Tom. All of them are very approachable and open to your ideas. TNT does its best to provide many perks to working here over than just paying you to do your job. They do a lot of group activities and gives opportunities to work from home. private:tntdental https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=856241 Jun 26th, 2019 12:00AM Open Open TNT Dental Junior Developer Richardson, TX If you’re a developer thinking about applying here, read this first. Small-business environment(no bs HR policies that make you feel like a statistic, like in large companies), free coffee, company outings, potential to win money every week, cool atmosphere, decent location, somewhat nice people to work with. I just wanna point out that I am not just a pissed off former employee who wants to trash the company; there are things that I love about it. However, it’s not a company that you can have a career with as a developer, and I’ll tell you why. The salary, and I can’t express this enough, is MUCH lower than nearly any other company you could work for as a developer in the DFW area. Even as a junior developer with no professional experience. There is a “bonus” system that doesn’t actually make any sense because it relies on you getting as much work done as possible, as quickly as possible. This is NOT a healthy practice and is actually pretty asinine, because developers need to be prioritizing quality over quantity, and many times a small task will take much longer than you guessed it would. It’s almost as if it’s put there to give you a false hope that you can potentially make more money, but you’re going to have to grind your heart out if you expect to even reach the level where your bonus kicks in. Developers as a whole, at this company, don’t seem to be prioritized very much when it comes to personal/professional growth in their craft. Also, there is a work from home program that you aren’t able to take advantage of until you’ve completed one year of service at the company, and that’s about the only thing you get whenever you’ve been there a year, aside for 5 more days of vacation time. You only get two days of sick time, by the way, because apparently most human beings should only be ill for two days out of the year. Oh, also, you do not get yearly raises/cost of living raises. At all. And if you ask for a raise, you will be met with opposition. The owner is very out of touch with development best-practices and doesn’t seem to care much about keeping the company up to date on new technologies, which is amazing, seeing as the entire business model for the company is basically making websites and maintaining them for dental practices, as well as marketing. It would be great if they could just eliminate the nonsensical bonus system and just pay developers somewhere close to the median salary(as a junior dev, your salary won’t even meet the lowest level as reported by Glassdoor) for the role, but don’t hold your breath. All in all, if you want to work here, fine. However, you will eventually realize that it is not a place to stay for longer than a year, and is a transition company as best, unless you’re the type to get complacent and just enjoy doing the same mundane tasks day in and day out. I forgot to mention that they seem to especially enjoy hiring people out of college or while they’re in college, though there are developers who are self taught that work there. I’m assuming that’s why they lowball you when it comes to the salary, because they know that you aren’t going to have the prior experience to be able to negotiate a very high salary, but I’m sure they just wouldn’t hire you even if you could give them a solid reason as to why you want to make $60k a year. So, like I said, if you want to work here then go for it. It isn’t the worst place to work, but I can promise you that you will not want to be there much longer than a year if you want to grow as a developer; this place wants devs for as cheap as possible. Oh, and the content management system and many other applications they use, all suck. So get ready to deal with the frustration when the programs you rely on start crashing or just not working the way they’re supposed to. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NO_OPINION 6.0 2.0 3.0 4.0 1.0 1.0 3.0 856241 Open Pay your developers more. Plain and simple. If not, don’t be surprised when none of them stay for much longer than a year. The company comes across as a developer graveyard, and I promise your devs are more depressed about their job than you think. New developers are always desperate for that first dev job, and it seems as though you know that all too well and choose to take advantage of it. It may be worth asking the devs how they feel about their jobs, though they probably won’t be honest for fear of repercussions. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 2.0 Apr 29th, 2021 05:55PM Apr 29th, 2021 05:55PM TNT Dental Technology Software & Computer Services
