In the past, the relationship between restaurant and vendor was managed by phone or fax, end-of-month accounting and sales were tallied manually and sent to accounting systems, leaving chefs and managers in the dark regarding their real inventory levels and having to steal hours away from restaurant operations for ordering, costing and paperwork. ===== About the Role ===== As an Account Executive, you work with our customers to identify ways that they could reduce waste, cut costs and streamline operations for their business through better use of data and inventory management. In order to do this effectively you must maintain in-depth industry knowledge including marketplace conditions, competitor positioning in your geographic area. Each month you will drive the sales cycle from online demonstrations to closing deals.  Day to day, this means: - Becoming an expert in our industry, the product, and our restaurateurs - Negotiating and closing sale consistently, if not above quota - Conducting discovery calls with customers to identify their business challenges. - Successfully running online demonstrations of SimpleOrder by Upserve with restaurateurs and restaurant owners.  Above all else, all SimpleOrder by Upserve employees are united in our shared optimism, passion, and enthusiasm for the customers we support through our innovative product. This role requires an individual with a strong worth ethic, and self-driven desire and the following qualifications to succeed:  - Experience negotiating and closing sales for online B2B services or SW, preferably in the food and beverage industry, both retail and supplier sides. - Strong understanding of the UK restaurant/bar scene and the food and beverage supply market. - -- - Established contacts within the hospitality industry with various restaurant chains and groups and small to large distributors is strongly preferred. - Experience building and maintaining relationships with clients. - Committed to a culture of positivity and high performanceValue feedback, and thrive on constant improvement and learning. - Strong work ethic, and a self-driven desire to succeed.
