As an engineer my typical day at work was me coming into a partial cubicle and get ready for back to back and overlapping meetings with beyond frustrated customers who were waiting for software development team to actually deliver a product that worked. Training didn't exist and neither did any engineering, they changed the title from Integrations Engineer to Integrations Specialist and wanted us to act as Project managers without the tools, time, or product to really deliver to the customer.
What I learned from this company was to never take a "good opportunity" to up root your life for a ridiculous amount of money to move for a job that will can you in less than a year.
The workplace culture was filled with gatekeepers who filled your questions with vague responses and links to Confluence pages that anyone can make up. The processes changed 3 times in the less than year I was able to work there, and there wasn't any realy guidance or training on the changing of narrative.
The hardest part about the job was disappointing the customers on meeting when I couldn't give them what they wanted, the development team and the managers didn't guide us on proper responses, we're engineers not project managers stuck in a phone queue for customer support.
Getting my hands on new tech to try and learn something new to work on. (learning was minimal because I had to figure most of it out on my own)
Ultimately the company has created a toxic gate keeping culture because the business side of things is unforgiving with it's employees, my recommendation to Verifone is to bring back in house training with employees with a full time instructor to better invest in their company's employees to get moving forward in a new environment because short monetary gains will likely effect the long term stability of the company at current rate.

What is the best part of working at the company?
They FIRED/LAID OFF 50 of us off right before Christmas 2023 in a zoom meeting. Merry Christmas from Verifone after 4 loyal years never even mising a day and working Thanksgiving and Christmas all 4 years.
Work at Verifone at your own risk. This company will be out of business in 10 years or bought out by Ingenico. I would recommend working for their competitor Ingenico. This place has poor management and will fire you without blinking an eye. I was the LAST tech in the states for NACSUPPORT and fired/laid me off with me being the ONLY tech left in Clearwater and I was in the middle of shipping off a server. OH WELL. Do yourselves a HUGE favor and get a job somewhere else.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The people in the clearwater office were jerks.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Well they went from a few hundred at the Clearwater location down to about 30 people and 1/5th the space of the building now. So the culture was gone and people are just scared of losing their jobs now.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
We still had our own office after the revamp of the office. Then TJ left the support team and that left only me. So I was loving life in my office meanwhile everyone else even the Engineers were out in cubicles.

A good company from my experience at a entry level position.
I was treated well and received a great education in a short time frame.
If you do what your supposed to this job is very good to you.
Some of the calls will make you question your sanity due to the language barrier of 80% of callers, but that was really the only hard part of the job.
