I will not recommend it to anyone.
Absolutely no work-life balance, anyone will hail you for anything at any time of the day or night!
Endless back-to-back meetings.
Everything will have the highest priority.
Impossible to plan one's day ahead, there will be constant interruptions and ad-hoc tasks.
Every work/task flows top-down and from Japan.
Most seniors/managers will be highly disrespectful, and sometimes even peers will have scant respect, depending on their location.
If you work in Japan, you need to know Japanese, if you work in India you need to be conversant in Hindi. English proficiency is quite bad at certain work locations even in India.
The tremendous amount of bureaucracy and internal politics will hamper your day-to-day work.
There will be no proper org structure, there will be constant change and ambiguous responsibilities and assignments.
The outside company image will be great, mainly due to superb marketing and PR efforts and also certain favoured employees spreading lots of fake positivity.

I honestly believe they do not want to see you succeed. All of the upper management would like to see all Rakuten warehouses run the same but it’s impossible. Plus, you should DEFINITELY not look for assistance from them when needed. Overall, use this job as a stepping stone for another.

Worst job I ever had.
|
I was so excited to start working for Rakuten after hearing amazing things about the culture, people, and pay and benefits. Not even one week in, little to no training, and I was expected to function fully on my own. My manager was fired after 2 months and I was never given an explanation. I started being expected to work over time, despite having family plans on the weekends. I have never been so stressed in my life. RUN.

No Respect for ones health

My short time of being there was after I was out of the army I had lots of doctor appointments that was needed for my mental health, they were ok with the first 2 and allowed me to leave work early but as i went on working there they became even more hostile to letting me leave for these appointments that I scheduled 1 to 2 months in advance and could not cancel ultimately swading my judgment to leave as well as some of the employees there were way to open with their political opinions and would share that with you without asking
