- Everyone from middle management down is pretty cool and just trying to do good work.
- The catered lunches are nice.
- Tinder events are really fun.
- The pay is relatively good.
- The benefits are better than average.

- Incredibly political leadership who plays favorites and throws people under the bus to cover up their own incompetence
- Critical thinking and healthy debate is frowned upon. Not speaking up is rewarded
- Absolutely no vision.
- People in leadership hire their friends to shield them from criticism
- Leadership wants innovation, yet most ideas are top-down and they refuse to take real risks (most of their big ideas have failed)
- More interested in impressing the board than impressing our users.
- Weighed-down by a new process that brings all work to a standstill
- Morale is at an all-time low.
- Everyone is burnt out.

Great people at the IC level, but toxic leadership

- A supportive and fun team at the IC level, including some middle managers who genuinely care about their employees
- benefits are decent compared to similar companies
|
- Company has gone downhill due to poor senior leadership who’ve turned a once fun place to work into a toxic political environment where teams and individuals are pitted against one another
- Innovative ideas keep getting shot down or severely constrained by leaders out of fear but with an activist investment firm coming in and now demanding innovation, leaders have been quick to place the blame for lack of innovation on those below in order to protect themselves
- there is a growing lack of diversity at the senior leadership level that is now trickling down to teams due to leaders hiring from their own pool of candidates, rather than sourcing diverse talent in the broader market that can bring differing perspectives to the company

As employees, we care about the company too, and we feel the pressure we are all under, but we cannot deliver great work in an environment of fear and distrust. Even new hires are quickly recognizing the politics at play, which does not bode well for the future of the company. Employees need leaders they can trust and believe in, not leaders that stoke fear and point fingers.
