Management was unsupportive
|
The lack of support from management created an unorganized workplace for employees—extremely high turnover rate. I was there for nearly three years, and many functions that were meant to be done during that time did not begin until the last six months I was there due to the lack of supportive and informed management.

The job wasn’t bad, pay was minimum wage and you had to deal with way too many customers demanding refunds. Management wasn’t very helpful. They pushed credit card sales way too much and if you didn’t meet their goals you wouldn’t get hours.

Typically, there aren’t very many people that come in. Right away when I get there, I stalk the shelves, then at eight am I open the store for the day, then when people come in I help them find what they need. I do believe that I have learned that making people happy can make you happy. One of the most difficult parts of my day is dealing with rude people.

Poor management but the hours were okay for a student. They closed down and didn’t let employees know until the very end. There were employees that had worked there for years and lost their jobs.
