Not so customer friendly
Friendly co workers, work is not boring same old
Company does not take responsibility for mistakes by workers. Missed deliveries and damaged merchandise take too much time to correct. Company does not willingly offer compensation for errors.

Give customer service reps authority to correct errors in a timely manner. Customers have to go through layers of employees to get to someone in authority who can make a decision.

The intersection of exploitation and Incompetence
Entry level can lead to connections within the industry. Those interested in becoming a stylist or photographer can meet people in those positions and often become freelance assistants after leaving the company.
$24 hourly pay is competitive within the market, but was reduced from $25/hour during the pandemic.
Easy work.
40% discount at all Williams-Sonoma and connected companies.
Low level employees are considered “casual associates”. Basically, this allows the company to hire on an as needed basis, though most casuals are kept on and given full time schedules (40+ hours/week) yet they are not eligible for health benefits, paid time off, or ability to get a raise. Employees who ask for more are ghosted, not fired as to avoid paying for unemployment. This is possible because of the “casual” employment status. Those who excel at the job are kept in low positions. Those who struggle to meet workload expectations but DO fit into the corporate personality are given more work with little to no increase in compensation.

The team at Stanford is great. No one micromanages and the training William Sonoma provides is really good. It’s also a entertaining job
It’s hard to multitask appointments online with customers walking in at the exact same time. Selling furniture is difficult

Not worth the headache
Nothing positive about this company
They lie about everything. Trying to get help while dealing with a customer in hold was ridiculous. There were times you had a customer on hold for over an hour only to kept being told "Take control of the call. " Supervisors never liked to assist, majority of time you were referred back to the AI chat that was backed up. Then in turn you had WFM chatting you asking why you were still on the same call.
