They genuinely care about the growth and success of each employee and you're rewarded with an unlimited vacation policy, free lunches and a number of other surprises throughout the year. The managers/VPs (and Max) are super approachable, transparent and give employees the autonomy to prove themselves and work hard without feeling micromanaged. For anyone interested in communications and public relations, this is the place where you will learn every aspect of the PR world and gain valuable experience working with some of the best in the industry. Many of the skills you learn at MBA will position you leaps and bounds ahead of your peers should you move on to another agency (or career path) one day. There are times where you will feel as though you have more work than hours in the day, and may be put on accounts that are difficult or not very interesting to you personally. If the poor work culture wasn't an issue, then you could actually learn a lot here and be challenged. If you want to feel like you're in a high school atmosphere then you'll do well here. People prefer to gossip rather than just address work related issues to your face. It's just a part of the culture. The agency cares more about pilling on accounts than getting results. Senior staff will say anything to land an account, and coordinators will then tackle 5+ accounts. Unlike most agencies, MBA is laser focused on consumer tech and only consumer tech. They're experts in their field. The Miami office is in a perfect location, fun, and very comfortable. Management is hands off - no micro-managing here. I've only been here a short time and already have been awarded so much flexibility, The CEO genuinely cares about the well being of all employees. It's no wonder they were chosen as the #3 best agency to work for in their category. Free lunches on Fridays is a generous perk. In other agencies I have worked for, some of the publicists are almost are competitive with each other. On the internal side, there is always a process in place or someone with a specific role to help make services smoother. Data – I think our data gives us the extra edge when it comes to client reporting that most agencies don’t have. Open-mindedness – When it comes to ideas for clients and thinking outside of the box (or scope). I have been here 6 months, and although my last jobs have been generally horrible, I have nothing bad to say about MBA.
